Official Heads Up - Required Killing Floor Update Coming

A required update for Killing Floor dedicated servers is planned to be
released this Thursday. We should be able to provide dedicated server admins with early access to the dedicated server files for updating, but this will depend on how quickly we can complete our own testing and how quickly the files can be deployed to Steam. The new content pack includes:



Free content/changes

- 4 new levels - four of the best grindhouse map making competition maps polished up for official release
- New firebug weapon - not what you might think :)
- Balance changes/fixes
- Bug fixes

Pay content

- 4 new DLC characters
- 1 "locked" DLC character, unlocked by pre-ordering The Ball




I was thinking some kind of launcher, but the words in parenthesis make me think otherwise. I just hope its not something cheesy like incinidery rounds or weak like that lighter fluid and matches idea.

If it's "not what you might think (tm)" then it's obviously not a flaregun, not that flame rocketlauncher and especially not just a stronger flamer.
If it is, I'll feel cheated.

Edit: Perhaps it's not really a weapon at all but a completely new gameplay mechanic.
What are you gonna do if it's something along the lines of "now propane gas tanks spawn and you can blow them up by shooting at them, that's the new firebug weapon LOL"?

maybe some fireskin ability, where if you touches a specimen it bursts into flames and dies in 5 secs?

of course, you would have to take some damage, and the higher the perk lvl the less damage taken?

Have you ever wondered how they managed to remove the Firebug armor by "mistake"? :confused:

It could be a suit that sets zeds on fire when they touch it! :eek:

I'm gonna have to choke a ***** if lighting yourself on fire deals damage to nearby zeds now or something like that.
Luckily all shapes of "fire auras" have been suggested before and thus are out.

I'm indifferent to the Firebug update seeing as, well...that perk is level 0 for me.

But ERHYDFHSTRHJF can't wait for the balance fixes+DLC+maps. :IS2::IS2:
