anyone who has joined a hard or suicidal game on a late wave know how insanley retarded it is to drop someone in the middle of that hell with a single 9mm limited ammo and no armor or cash what so ever.

now many people will say that if the game is played properly players will both heal and give weapons and money to the new player but often times players dont have money or extra weapons to give out or simply dont give a **** about other people and you end up with the unballanced late join problem

of course once you gain a high enough perk level you start out with a tier 1 or 2 weapon based on your skill. but again the entire system seems geared to make the good players better and let the casual gamer just get instantly killed by a spawn that is much too powerfull for a simple 9mm pea shooter.

i propose a system that calculates the wave and either generates a random weapon or significant cash (enough for armor and a basic gun depending on how late in the game the player joins). perks at a level high enough to grant weapons will disable the system.

as it is the difficulty and number of zeds increases with each additional player who joins so crippling a late wave joiner with a pistol and no armor serves only to make the game more difficult to the people who were already playing. in fairness sake the game needs to be ballanced and place players on equal footing at later waves.

the idiocy of joining and dying because your trying to fight off a angry FP with a pistol has gone on too long and is making the game rather annoying. the only alternative would be to fix the SERVER BROWSER so it SHOWS THE CURRENT WAVE. but players have been ASKING FOR THAT SINCE RELEASE AND THE DEVS KEEP SITTING ON THEIR ASSES. so the handicap is really the only solution at this point.

Perosanlly I'd say a better soltion for late spawners is that they should spawn with the rest of the team (or majority), so if the rest of the team is in the trader, he will spawn in the trader, if they are set up in their spawn he will spawn in that spot. At least that would help ease alot fo the problems with late spawning.

I'll have you know that TWI's devs have indeed been sitting on their rear ends. That's how you operate a computer usually, on a chair behind a desk.

They've also been busy, very busy with other matters that are very important. They'll get back round to KF when they can.

TWI isn't an ubercorporation with trillions in the bank, they're a small company. They have a small staff and they can't do everything that you demand, when you demand it.

It isn't that big a deal. So you die. Don't join a suicidal server before lvl 5.

Not to mention you paid 20 dollars (or your equivalent currency) or less for this game, yet have gotten support and free DLC that triple A titles which are 3-4 times as expensive and are made by multi-million dollar companies don't even come close to giving.

Yes, that idiocy truly has to stop.
Consider not joining anything higher than normal until you learned the concept of "pound + 9mm = bad" and learn to stick with the team and not running into enemy crowds if you know all you have is a 9mm.

Better yet, level up to 5. Then you have a gun.
Or just go medic. If you know how to heal, you're actually useful for the team that way without needing anything but a syringe.

You are supposed to play suicidal with level 5-6 perks, which means you spawn with a weapon. So yeah, it IS "insanely retarted" that people even attempt to join suicidal games with level 0-3 and expect to survive. Its possible, and Im trying to keep an open mind when I see someone like that joining the server, but Ive NEVER seen a lowlevel actually doing a good job in suicidal and proving me wrong. Which is why Ive started kicking every lowlevel out of my servers.

Thats stupid and overly complicated. Like said, higher levels spawn with a weapon so this system is not needed, since you are not even supposed to play higher difficulties with low levels.

BUT, you are somehow what right. In large maps people simply might not have the time to reach the trader or the team, which is why one of the solutions below should be implemented, or more like all of them:

Personally I think all that's needed is:

1. Late joiners spawn on Trader.

2. Server browser shows current wave.

Also

3. Default difficulty for the server browser should be "normal", instead of "any difficulty", so the noobs who dont check the filters wont accidently join harder games.

1. Devs have been working on another game, and being a small team in the first place they dont have the time to do everything. Even this upcoming balance update is being done by 2 people in their freetime (if I understood correctly). So, thats not exactly "sitting and doing nothing".

2. What makes you think they have the time to implement some kind of silly handicap system if they dont have the time to make those modifications to the server browser?
