Who loved the mp41 from the mod, i personally loved iton Berlin and loved the sound and look of it.
I mainly used to pick it to be different everyone else

Trouble is, it was a weapon issued to police, not military. And while I'm sure they used anything and everything they could find to defend Berlin, its inclusion in ROOST doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I've never liked the "feel" of the mp-40. It just looks awkard to me for some reason. It's kick is pretty high, too. That said, I've grown pretty used to it and can do some damage with it. I'm looking forward to the mp-41, but I don't think it will ever take the place of the STG-44 in my heart...

I never could tell the difference between the two, really. I think the MP-41 kicked a little less maybe, but that was about it. Other than that they seemed functionally equivalent.

I really loved the mp-41 and I dont even know why technically... It just felt like it had less recoil to me.

Another weapon that I will remember is the Mauser's C96

I'm pretty new to WWII historical weapons and whatnot (I'm learning more everyday, of course... but know a lot of basics). I had never heard any refrence to the MP41 before it was mentioned here, so I looked it up... Wikipedia mentions it in the MP40 data as simply:

The MP40 was often called the Schmeisser by the Allies, after weapons designer Hugo Schmeisser. Although the name was evocative, Hugo Schmeisser himself did not design the MP40, but helped with the design of the MP41, which was effectively a MP40 with an old-fashioned wooden rifle stock, and the Sturmgewehr 44.

So if that's accurate, it's pretty much the same gun... I guess it may have less kick because the weight difference with the wooden stock?

Sadly I only discovered the incredible awesomeness of this gun about 2 days before I reformatted and then no longer had the mod. Twas quite an awesome weapon !

MP41 had more controlable recoil and a slightly higher ROF (it seems to me at least)

The wooden stock causes the recoil to be lowered a bit, and the MP41 has a lower ROF than the MP40, I never played the mod, but Im lookin forward to this and the MNCarbine

Yes another excellent weapon which will eventually make an appearance i hope, when you think about it even though the Berlin mod map sucked it did have 2 awesome weapons

Finaly my favoret all time SMG is coming back from the mod! I loved the MP41 It was way more stable and had a longer range due to it's wooden stock.

I can't wait for this weapon to come back!

The wood makes the gun more heavy so it has less recoil thus you get more accurate shots over a longer range. Sorry if that sounded odd............
