Level Design The most decisive battle of WWII that you've never heard of

This is the story of an overlooked battle that would make a great series of maps--and it's also another reason someone needs to make a Russia v. Japan v. China mod that I'm dying to have done.

I think that would be a cool mod.

But (there's always a but) I think the only way all these mods will get done and be created is if a few of you guys out there start learning the basic modding skills: mapping skills, the static meshes, and how to create weapons. Then you can get together over the internet (you don't have to live near each other), and start making your gaming dream become a reality.

I'd definitely like to see this and that Pacific War mod someone mentioned a few months ago created.

The more of you who spend some time learning the modding basics will mean there will be more skilled modders for RO, and really, the faster the work will get done.

I even asked the vital questions in a thread (Learning To Map: 101) that will get anyone started if they want to start learning to mod:

I'm working on the Iron Europe Mod (a mod about the Western Front during the First World War: 1914-1918), and our modding group definitely could use some more people who could spend some spare time looking up historical photos and facts or on actual computer modding.

If anyone is interested in joining or learning more about Iron Europe (sorry, I had to ask) you can private message me at this RO Forum, and I'll get you in touch with the Mod Leader.

In order for these mods to get done, they have to be done.
