The PPSh is bigger than most people realize, it's allmost as long as an AK infact, it's only a few centimeters off.
Alan might also be shorter than most people realize though

The heatshield is pretty beefy, that's for sure.

Actually, here's a little size comparison, thease are replica guns, but they are 1:1 scale to the real ones, give or take a few milimeters (i'll put 'em in a spoiler tag, because this is getting kinda OT now):

So yeah, it's actually a pretty big gun, even standing next to the Kar there, it doesen't exactly look petite..
