As a heads up to anyone who has lost their discs or could never find a copy, The Last Express is now on sale here: http://www.dotemu.com/en/download-game/608/the-last-express-collectors-edition

If you don't know anything about it, it's a unique old first-person perspective adventure game set on the Orient Express where events happen around you in real-time, and most notably features something like 12 different nationalities with native speaking actors, some dialogue of which is subtitled as your character knows the languages, and some not.

If you are even slightly interested in the genre then it's unmissable. There is a demo but who knows if that works on modern operating systems, apparently the version up for sale is compatible with XP / Vista / 7, 32 and 64 bit.

I bought Last Express when it first came out and is one of the few games from that time that I've kept in almost mint condition.

Superb setting, characters, music and a great story with interesting puzzles to solve. It is without doubt the best adventure game I've played.

You can spend hours just walking up and down through the carriages listening in on people's conversations and hearing snippets of vital information at certain times that can also be missed if you aren't in the right place at the right time.

Played it through recently a few weeks back and age hasn't diminished it as it has it's own unique style.
