The voices are very good, some lines are actually funny and they fit the new tone of KF2. I wouldn't mind some more "Dosh" based quotes or the comeback of "Insult Players", but there is no need to change them!

Bumping this because the voice chat wheel is horrible. The voice actors have done a good enough job, I don't mean to rap on their performance or delivery. The issue is, the writing is terrible. The lines are boring, the attempts at humor are uninspired and fall through miserably. The closest thing to humor I heard in the game so far (~8 hours on a PC Gamer key) is the reverend squirming when on fire.

Granted, the character wearing Munk's face did drop a "******s!" on an Insult Zeds prompt, but this can hardly conjure the spirit of KF 1. I understand the positive sides of diversifying the character pool and having unique voice actors for each. It's just that all the soul has been sucked out of the new voice production, largely due to the uninspired writing of the lines.

1) The new chat wheel grinds my gears.
The old menu took a while to get used to but at least you could issue commands while shooting which is impossible now that the thing blocks your whole center screen and requires mouse input. And don't even get started on the missing -yet essential commands like pretty much any directional command.
Not to mention the damn thing opens for eternity.

Surprisingly many threads complaining about completely trivial things like voice actors or the color of certain things... The thread title makes it sound like you think KF2 voice acting is terrible, which is not the case.

Personally I have no problem with the voice acting in KF2, and its definately not any worse either, its just different (and matches the current story line).

Is that similar to a hemorrhoid?

Lmao.

I for one don't think voice acting, tone and atmosphere conveyed by it is trivial. It's one of the things that made KF1 stand out from other wave shooters. It was not the CORE thing, but it was A thing.

Over here, no not there, here.
unfortunately I think people will always be uncomfortable with change. I personally wish the specimens spoke as much as they did in KF1 (not the mod though, too much) but the voice actors aren't significantly different, they just aren't the voices from KF1, and for people that like KF1, that will always present the illusion that these are worse in some way.

I have just been reminded that Harold Lott was a thing in KF1

if there's a character that could bring the britishness back, it's definitely him! Imagine if Enfield himself were to voice him...

Don't like new = voice acting is far better in KF compared to KF2

KF2 already has more voices than KF and it's not even out yet. New voices are great.

Oh my god. Best idea for a character ever. You deserve a cookie.

And even though I like the KF2 voices, especially Mr. Foster and Punk Girl <3 , having Enfield himself actually voice this would be absolute gold.

Do they even speak at all?

The voices, as in voice acting, are good.

But they lack some of that charm and insults as well. The VAs (atleast the english ones like Foster, Cop and Military guy) could maybe redo the KF1 lines. I'm mostly playing the cop, cause he seems the most KF1-ish to me lol. Foster is also decent.

Yeah, I just need more of the voice acting that gives this air of "slightly tipsy wallads going to beat up a load of Chelsea tossers in Hackney" that was in KF1

The VAs (atleast the english ones like Foster, Cop and Military guy).
Mr. Foster's VA (J. Michael Tatum) is actually a native Texan.

That being said, he had a severe speech impediment as a kid, and he learned to talk from a British speech therapist (who apparently was legitimately named "Mrs. Brit"), hence why he can do the accent so well.
