Do what you are doing at the moment, but just hangs the order up a bit. Spam the Mk.23 at the Scrake's head (I tend to use between 5-8), then pull out your M32 and flicnh the Scrake with a dud(one sht will do), then whip out your Scar and go to town on his head. You'll take a bit of damage (~17 armour is my usual), but a lot less than what you would if he used his swing attack.

Well, I try to get all of the the mk23 + scar damage in before he get in melee range. That way I tend to avoid damage. Although, honestly I need to visit the testmap and see what works best (at least conceptually).

On Hard and below, just go full auto on the Scrakes head. As long as your aim is mostly true, he'll be long dead before he reaches you. In a lot of situations on HoE it is best not to rage the Scrake before the combo, just to make sure that you would have enough time and room to get that M32 out. That's why I just weaken his head with some Mk.23 spam (you can use the whole clip if you'd like, but I tend to get the same result with about 6 bullets), then flinch with thrM32 and then finish him off with Scar spam.

hhmm, I tried dorking around in the testmap (6 man HoE) and I don't think that one clip of the scar to the head worked. Chances are though, I was screwing something up. I should practice some more and look at puppy's m32 video again. What worked best for me was getting him just above the rage limit, reloading, unloading all of a Scar I could while he was running at me raged, alt fire katana and then unloading a Fal. That method only took 4 health and 8 armor. Although that method is a bit hectic and sort of uncontrolled. >_>;
