A lot of you are saying stuff along the lines of "you can still play RO1 so why dont you?" the point I believe OP was trying to make is that he likes the new game and the new features but is upset the a lot of the good features that would be good in the second game have been removed. Also the ammount of anticipation for the sequal then finding out that most of the stuff that made the prior special has been removed is slightly devastating.
Its like if in Return of the Jedi they took out Harrison Ford and replaced him with Eddie Murphy.

And my point still stands. Even with the modifications to the old model, it's still a thousand times better than any other shooter on the market. A lot of people are used to the old model. That's fine. But what if Eddie Murphy turned out to be really fantastic in his portrayal? Many of the old fans would condemn him anyway simply because he isn't what they were expecting, and they would refuse to enjoy the new interpretation simply on principle.
I think this is quite silly. If something is good, enjoy it for being good. Nitpicking all the little things they changed only hampers your enjoyment.
