Support to modders, more content, maybe cosmetic DLC's like for Killing Floor.
I have nothing against optional DLC for weapons or cosmetic items, badges for your character as long as they don't give an unfair advantage over the other players.

What else? Maybe a KF 2 if TWI has the funds to support such a project, or improve Killing Floor 1, continue to add features to it. RO 2 also needs some more polish, tanks for example need to be better at collisions with objects. BUT the most important is to make them more powerful, when up against uneven terrain or a higher hill, to prevent situations when a tank gets stuck, while in reality it would probably carry on...

There's a lot of perspective, and I think RO 2 is the most detailed WW2 tactical shooter. Best cover mechanics and weapon handling, which is definately an improvement over RO 1 and Battlefield's content, and a rather unfair, in my opinion amount of DLC's just for maps and such.

Long live Red Orchestra!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Just because they might do a non WW2 tactical shooter doesn't mean they have to give up on WW2 like Call of Duty did. For a company to expand I believe they can't just stick to one genre. Also, a non WW2 tactical shooter doesn't have to be based on a real war or even take place during a war. They could do a tactical shooter in the vein of Rainbow Six. They certainly have the budget,manpower, and experience to overtake such a project. Heroes of Stalingrad has certainly taught them valuables lessons on what to do and not do in a game.

You're totally right. I'm sure since release they've been coming in to work only once a week to fix a line of code and going right back home afterwards. In fact, I could fix their game right now:

Code:
while(game.getPerfectionLevel() < 1) {
     game.improve();
}

That's how it works right? Call them incompetent if you want but there's no way you can positively say they're being lazy.

But enough venting out of me. Obviously this should be announced only after a few more months of work on RO2 at least, IMO, but I'd be psyched for Korea. Although, that might be more of an expansion, since they could reuse almost all the weapons I think, and almost reuse one of the tanks (talking about T-34, obviously not the same model though). Right now I'm picturing the Chinese infantry crossing the river at the American trench line on a forested hill.

FYI, I'm actually against KF2, since I don't believe there is anything meaningful they could add to that game, apart from a new engine. There already plenty of maps, too many weapons, and no game mechanics that have been suggested that I like too much.

I bet that TWI are working on KF2 right now. But I am wondering if its on UE3 or they moved directly to UE4 which will be AWESOME!

Besides that, if there will be another RO game, I hope its either set during the Vietnam war or Modern. WW2 is done.

I am cynical about genre of fps warness. So many games of modern stuff and many past of ww2. Vietnam is TO limited a theater for historical MP game. As a single player sure I guess... there are a few out there. But also a bit myopic. You make a modern military shooter you are instantly in direct competition to a bunch of big frys with a huge mindless player base. In my mind, current levels of infantry fire power and realistic damage of modern times does equal the best shooter game ever. Just think RO2 with everyone with an MKB. Not so sure THAT would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Also IF a nam game where to be done might as well offer the In country guys a bag of money as per Rising Storm....

Going up the KF way you run into the same sort of deal. SIGH. And it is quite possible whatever is cooking is in the OTHER pile. Hay twi, throw us a bone! :eek:

KF2 KF2 :D I can't wait for it. Best and funniest coop I have ever played with nice feeling guns because TWI. Arcade like survival-horror-coop-shooter with guns that actually feel nice to play with.

Games like l4d were disappointments as the guns were such letdown.
(and im not even a gunfreak, more of an immersion freak. Most games just don't have the feel in them)

May as well make a first post.
If not KF2 or expanding RO2 to include Italian and commonwealth forces (giving enough armies for a WORLD WAR campaign), then maybe a new venture with a new IP.
There have not been many good Arena based twitch shooters like Unreal Tournament in years. Would be interesting to see what TWI could do down that avenue of games.
