Of course, but do u really think that we can expect such mods for ro2?

Where all these great mod teams gone?

DH -> Festung Europa (Cry engine)
MN -> ?

I'll guess only the game deveplover it selfs can provide us with the content what we want.

Btw. i don't want to bother the vehicle mod team! They are doing a great job, but i didn't expect to much. Because of the needed amount of time to create the wanted assets and i'll guess they all have a real live :D

MN -> In Country Vietnam :)

Take the maps we currently have for RO2, put them all on a giant 24 km by 15 km square, fill in the blanks, and have a couple servers filled with thousands of people and thousands more bots that actually behave in a human-like matter..

One commercial grade supercomputer would probably be capable of running this simulation.

Great Sioux Wars?
Franco-Prussian War?

Italo-Ethiopian War?

Just to name a few, if you can spot a theme.

Some might say that would be boring, giving everyone essentially the same rifle, in some cases muzzle-loading single-shot muskets, but I'm sure there's an assault rifle prototype they can cram in there with dubious justification.

Oh, and they can make us unlock bayonets in the American Civil War.

NIT picking..

Not one of those used muskets. Rifled muzzle loader for the civil war.. (unless your Johnny Reb I guess at the start) the rest are breach block single shots or bolt actions (some lever action). YA the rifle musket would be max of 2 or 3 shots a minute. The single shots can get up to 12 -15 shots a minute. the bolt actions a aimed shot every 2 seconds or so..30 shots a min IF you had a 30 round magazine.

Actually anything after 1880's could actually be FUN IMO. Even earlier depending on the weapons....

To put into perspective... a legit semi auto battle rifle COULD fire 60 shots a minute IF unlimited ammo. IT could be fired FASTER but you are not gonna hit anything. Full auto battle/combat rifles from the 50-now is an uncontrolled 10 shots a second. The half power intermediate rifles (assault rifles) You could probably get 90 shots a minute semi aimed. ON full auto anything from 550 to 1100 rounds a minute...weapon depending. But just for the hell of it rough averages..

You can fire a bolt action rifle STUPID fast but aimed fire always seems to be 2 second a shot. Does not matter if a bolt action, a semi or whatever wonder weapon select fire dohicky.. At short ranges that gets FUZZy but at longger ranges...

Problem with a lot of the turn of the 19th-20th century mod ideas is simply that average joe gamer has little interest. A lot of preconceived ideas about things. But while nearly DOOMED from the start as a mod.....anything with just bolt guns and pistols would actually be quite interesting from a completive FPS point of view. I would say a breath of FRESH air after the full auto fest of the past decade.

Oh god not a pre-20th century game, not with ro2s melee system.

Well, considering Chivalry also uses the Unreal engine, the melee system could be greatly improved to allow for a fun 19th century "shooter".

Besides, riding a horse wielding a saber would be a very nice change from the run-of-the-mill tank driving. Boy would I love to take up as a British or Comanche horseman, either with a melee weapon or a repeater rifle.

I like it when there's silence, it means TW is hard at work on something.

We are finalizing what will make the next update, so hopefully I will start sharing information on that in the "nearish" future.

As to the predictions, some are quite amusing :) Others are closer to our current goals/plans, but as to which, you'll just have to keep guessing.

For latest up date, I predict the sdkfz 251 gets added to beta, a new rising storm map, and new bug fixes / classic refinements.

I would love something like Necromunda but as an fps. sci-fi Gang warfare in a decaying sub-city that has vertical gameplay. Either that or a cyber-punk fps.

What I expect is Killing Floor 2 :p

Whatever it is, I do hope they won't announce it a year or more before it's released because then its too painful to wait that long. Like Samorost 3 which was announced but they said it'll be released at 2015 - why did they even announce it so soon?

Well 2015 is only 13/14 months away. Just think, GTA5 was announced in 2011 and only came out this year.

Yeah well, it actually depends on what the game actually is. Like when Rome 2 was announced I was like super hyped for it the whole year, especially when I thought it would be like Rome 1. GTA V I was never interested, neither any of the Assassins Creeds or anything like that.

Everyone should do like Nintendo does, announce the game like 2 months before it's release and everyone will be happy.
