We're really nitpicking about developers doing similar things in their games? The dungeon/prisoner thing is what they do. Its how they get you acclimated to the combat and get your character set up. CoD does the same things constantly but it comes out every year, as opposed to an elder scrolls which is usually 4 years or so in between.

I dunno, wood elves are supposed to look tanned, the player probably messed with the skin tone a bit.

Not sure about the Lore exactly but perhaps the Wood Elves and Dark Elves are similar, maybe one is somehow an offshoot of the other.

No, the Dunmer come from the Chimer, who were a faction of Altmer that got pissed off with being persecuted for worshiping the "good" Daedra and went on an exodus following St. Veloth to Morrowind, so they used to have golden skin before the battle of Red Mountain when the Tribunal betrayed Nerevar, prompting Azura to curse them all with blue-gray skin. The Bosmer however came straight from the Altmer, settling across the channel in Valenwood where they developed their own culture and physiology over time (especially since their religion forbids them from eating plants, so they're pure carnivores and even cannibalize their dead).

The Min specs get you playing,. The recommended specs let you play on High, not on Ultra. You'll want beefier rig for that.

I find the specs quite high, considering that the game is designed to work in 360.
If I can't Ultra this game @ 60 fps with my 2500k and 6950, I'll go into a berserker rage.
