First thing: To people who think Bethesda is working on this, or saying Bethesda **** up, or Bethesda lied and were making an MMO the whole time, I have one thing to say:

Bethesda is not involved with this project. It's a completely different studio, and they may be involved with lore and small stuff like that, but that's it. I can't think of the name of the company, but if you don't want to look it up you can just take my word for it.

People seriously want to mod an MMO? I can only imagine they read "It's a PC game, it's an MMO" in that order, but right after 'PC' they stopped reading and said "There better be mods".

WoW/GW2/SWTOR offspring/clone?

If you're referring to the wear brought upon by the questing system that evolves only in the tiniest iterations, then I have a problem. While I agree that the questing and leveling system these games have is lame, I would like to know how many people have honestly come up with a better one. How on earth are you going to have a leveling phase in your game without it being some iteration of the systems seen a million times before?

You can shorten it, but the more you do the more raiding/PvP content you have to make to compensate, and that makes for a lot more work for the same content in number of hours. You can't remove the leveling phase because then there's no customization that happens over the course a period that really defines a character you've created. You'd have to have a whole mess of skills all at once and no way of easing into it.

I hope someone can understand what I'm saying because I'm having a really difficult time putting what I'm thinking into text.

Anyway... if by clone you mean the combat systems of... then I have to agree there's better ones, although there's still not a whole lot of options and a lot of them end up being similar for an MMO.

Also, TES always had terrible combat, just utterly shallow and brain-dead, but that's not the thing that makes the game.

Nope, it's not because it's a PC game, as almost all MMos are PC games. It's brought up because bethesda games usually require the caring hands of a few modders to really shine.

Chevy: After many years in the automotive industry, we're proud to announce that Chevy will be entering the battleship construction industry.

Press: Will it have an air bag?

Chevy: Excuse us?

Press: Look, everything Chevy has ever made comes with an airbag, since airbags were first available. So will your battleship have airbags? Because if not, we're not buying it.

Mods were never necessary for me to enjoy TES games.

Looks like a lot of people can't even touch one without them though.
