Do you think The Ball and RO2 will have similar system requirements or around the same?

Don't think so exactly the same, but not so much higher. As TWI says, for good performance in RO2 you will need Core2Duo and gpu with pixel shader 3, however those specifications aren't final. When RO will be close to beta phase or TWI will be ready to inform us about system requirements, they post info about it.

I think they'll be quite different.

That may be overstating it, Ro2 will undoubtedly have higher req's, it's a bigger game with more people on screen and more open maps, but i dont think it's going to be a large leap, the UE3 engine does scale quite well, so i suspect it'll play on something not much beefier than what can handle The Ball (it'll no doubt look terrible on minimum settings, but it'll play).

John G. said on crosshair that it will be enough to have dual core to run the game, which I think thats great cause not a lot of peoplecan afford to ugrade their rigs,it would be nice though if the game engine will be coded to be run by dual core on high settings with descent GPU,BUT!!! for those peeps that have quads can also take advantage from the game by using 4 cores so it takes away the strain from the GPU...

Currently I have AMD 965 x4 at 3.4ghz,and at any given time I can dial the multiplyer in my OC station without entering bios and get up to 4.0GHZ with my H50 cooler, also got the ATI 5770,RAM Corsair 8gb BEMP AMD edition and 1000w corsair PSU.My build was build mediocre in mind for later down the road upgrading when prices get real cheap,I was really wanting to be able to upgrade to AMD x8 Bulldozer but AMD officially anounced that Bulldozer will need new socket altogether....
So what I'm looking into is in about 5-10 months maximum is the following upgrade:
AMD x6
ATI 5970,or 5970 + 5870 for trifire(depends on prices)
and 27 inch ASUS monitor

in 5-10 months this upgrade should cost me around $700-$900,and will be my last upgrade till my next build in 5-7 years.Games wont be able to utilise 6 cores in the next 4-5 years, and by the time they utilise 8 cores will be 10+ years,so I will be set for looooong time to come!!! :D

Well yeah.

Heroes is not UT nor is it any other UE3 game. We are adding/changing a lot of things.

I'd be shocked if my current spec could adequately run HOES in the same way it does The Ball
