I for one am looking forward to this game.
The Armaholic report was pretty constructive, and the test machine spec's noted, resemble mine, (at least I believe it was the test machine).
Dual joystick support, does this mean I can plug my SideWinder Racing wheel in to fly the choppers ? :D

So it seems there will be a German version before the 505

I am still skeptical, I'll wait until we get a proper review and until I hear what the people who bought it think.

PCGames, germanies 2nd biggest PC Gaming domain, reviewed the game already(full review available on friday) and in a short comment they said Armed Assault 2 atm is nothing but a bug disaster and nearly unplayable because hardly anything is working at all.

Let me take this moment and LMAO at BIS if they couldn't get it right this time.

By the way, there's an update on their site and it says BIS already sent them a "beta-patch" and it corrects many issues.

to quote the Forums
Ohara (Dev):"Please calm down, we dont know whats happen. Hope its just wrong DVD or some registry, autosave files from previous versions instaled on tester PC. Worst variant could be that DVDs are made badly. Im sure that morphicon will check it. Most of errors that they are reporting are strange and we need to know more. If there was bugs due installation, lot of strange behavior can apear."

and the conclusion:"The sum total of this kerfufle is that pcgames.de wrote a bashing article based on loadiing a saved game from a very old beta in to a slightly less old beta that then caused bugs and have then removed the article because they did not follow basic press rules of checking facts with those involved."

Apparently PCGames got installation errors as well.
That should have been a clear indication that when you boot up the game regardless of that, it should not be used for reviewing purposes.
Honestly, i'm amazed that they are amazed they got 'missing files'-warnings.

The German publisher sent them the German game, which is not the Gold Master version btw, that is the 505 release.
After the European release, all previous versions (the German one) get a patch that updates them to Gold Master status.
From what i have understood it was the German publisher that wanted an earlier release than others got, and that resulted in the version PCGamer got.

If i am correct, this beta patch they have been sent is the beta-version of the patch that is supposed to bring 'German old version' to Gold Master status.
So in a way it is not PCGamer's fault, but honestly: you can't expect to get a working game if the installation is giving errormessages too?

Ohara from BIS thought it might have been a misprint on the DVD that causes the problems as well.
Anyways, i'm still not too worried and i'll wait for handson reports from German gamers or from other magazines that got the 505 release to review.
