yeah should be fine - thats 7 pm gmt and just the latest patch 1.07 with no extra bits needed - great.

what kinda game we playing?

I'd suggest some rather straight forward coop mission for the first time.
After all we don't know the people we are playing with.

Are we going to adobt a realistic loadout?
If we can get 8 people I'd suggest 2 fireteams of 1xM249, 1x Grenadier, 1x At specialist and 1x rifleman.

Yeah, we have 7 confirmed for the monday game. I think it'd be cool to have a realistic loadout along the lines of what Lemon suggested.. we'll deal with that on monday though.

Nimsky, Sic and fiftyone? Can you join the game on monday?

Yeah, 9 so far.

Im not sure about missions. Sic, do you have any coop's that you could set us up with? Im sure with so much awesomeness on our team, we could beat the time record set by TDNL on any of your missions :p:D

i've never been in a server that's had the voip active but if it works ok can we go with that plz?

Plenty of missions on our server, do not worry about that.

I always prefer single co-op missions rather than the huge Domination-type missions. Much more room for teamwork. So I suggest we do that.

duh ok right. i thought that was refering to something else for some reason.

no -one uses voip in arma and arma 2 so i take it it's pretty bad then?
i was curious as to what it was like

It's just easier to use TS3 from the beginning, let's you coordinate people before they join etc.

Yep, I agree. A straight forward working (tried & tested) mission to get started, just so we can maybe organize ourselfs...:)

Just a question, will we ever try out that warfare mode? :cool:

And another, do we already know what roles people are covering? Just so you know, because I am a terrible pilot and I often muck up with non-guided AT guns and grenade launchers at longer ranges (The shot often falls short of/past the target), and every time I do a parachute jump, I find myself only *just* on the target. I've definitely gotta improve on these with time.

Currently, my 1337 skills are:


  • Using assault rifles
  • Conserving ammo
  • Commanding tanks
  • Driving APCs and jeeps
  • Using automatic rifles
  • Using Light Machine Guns (M240 ftw)
  • Sniping (not at all my fave role, but I will still do it if no-one else will)
  • Escaping from enemy tanks on a bicycle
  • Close quarter fighting
  • Forest combat (I've practised a lot against AI units which have high "skill" settings.)
  • Staying hidden
  • Not shooting unidentified targets from afar. (I wait until I'm sure the target isn't a friendly soldier or civilian)

And some general bits :p

I'd say our current scope should be on small coop missions, maybe infiltrations.

I personally don't want to play Warfare, but maybe others want to?

I'd say we use a 2-fireteam loadout.

Which would consist of 2 fireteams of:

1xNCO (AR)
1xGrenadier (AR+M203)
1xRifleman At specialist (AR+AT4 or SMAW)
1xlMG (M249)
