Ya I glanced at a few of the conspiracy theories. It is indeed weird that there were a couple PMC dudes hanging out near the finish line, though if they were up to something shady would they be wearing hats advertising them as PMC?
Honestly I don't know what to think, I don't really trust anything the media puts out at all, and governments historically have frequently staged false flag operations or "let things happen" to produce a result desired by TPTB.
So of course I don't think the US government is above that sort of thing, but frankly I kinda feel like it's impossible to really know the truth behind anything of this nature.
Change the uniforms and this could've been a patrol in downtown Bagdhad a few years ago.
Equally disturbing is how we had a number of politicians calling for the suspect to be tried as an "enemy combatant", despite being a US citizen and, you know, not in a warzone. The "enemy combatant" term is already ridiculously euphemistic (just a clever way to avoid having to treat captured men as POWs), but to then attempt to apply that label to this guy in an attempt to deny him his right to due process? Pretty insane.
On a completely unrelated note, I hadn't been too psyched about this Oculus rift thing coming out in the future, since those kinds of devices usually turn out gimmicky IMO, but this article changed my mind a good bit. I probably still won't get one though since I'm not sure I want to depart from reality that completely right now

. Maybe when I'm retired 40 years from now and can't do anything else:
