and realized I have no clue even where to start with this game
I've quickly discovered that any sort of tactics from Hearts of Iron II won't work, and am completely confused.

Cavalry win battles, infantry seize provinces, and minting is a double-edged sword.

Once you get muskets though, you should scale back the cavalry big time.

• RO2 = CoD2 with bigger maps, stupid unlocks and less fun
• IS2 = maybe not the greatest tank of ww2 in every regard
• DRM = not that bad, most of the time
• some game with crosshairs where it takes more than two shots to kill someone = pretty good actually
