dogbadger, us Yurps where more about the early computers and not so much about the consoles (this is still true, PC gamers far outweigh Console gamers here even in todays market), and i'd definately say we got more variety for it.
I did own a Nes and a whole heap of games for it, since i got it for free, a freind of the family was very into that stuff, and when she got her Snes, she nolonger wanted her Nes (she was quite the techophile, only the latest and greatest was good enough!), so i got it and about 30 games for it too (and a zapper and GameGenie), and yeah.. there where like 5 of them i really played, the rest where quite rubbish, i don't even remember what half of them where called.
And it didn't get much play compared to how much i would play on my C64 and my 386.
