Today I added sunlight and a fake backdrop to try and get a feel for the lighting then rebuilt. My main terrain moved on me and I don't know why?

i tend to accidently pick the terrain info with other actors, static meshes and the like and move it too- of course with the result of moving the terrain with it.
Check where your terrain info is, and if your anything like me you will be re-entering it's x, y and z position every now and then.

Isn't there a way in the Advanced Properties of the Actor to anchor them in place like bMoveable =true/false?

Yup, under the TerrainInfo Properties > Advanced > bMoveable = True

Or, bLockLocation = True

If you've done some work on the map and don't want to lose it you can always go back into an older version and copy/paste the coordinates (TerrainInfo Properties > Movement > Location).

Great thanks that worked.Question??? Should I lock everything down when I'm finished with it examlpe buildings, SM,ect.? Also I have made some craters and they look real good but the only thing is where my (terrain1 main) meets the crater you kind of see it flicker when moving the camera around is there a way to get it more smoother maybe edge turn? Thanks for all your guys help!!

can you make the main terrain invisible under the crater - or drop it's height more ?
- it might be where the heights of each are quite close together (if it's similar effect to the one i remember experiencing when placing a thin bsp sheet over terrain)
