I actually don't see how temperature influences are in any way "too" realistic such that they detract from the fun of the game. It would certainly be interesting if players had less stamina/bled out faster in colder environments, and it wouldn't make the game any less fun, it would simply change the game mechanic slightly.

Maybe the soldiers should still have extra peices of clothing on winter maps though, just to look realistic, atleast if their German.

Of course they'll have the winter uniforms. From purely german to german / soviet (germans had lack of proper clothing and did take russian boots, hats and etc).

But I'm still hitting the drum for gun oil for MG gunners to stop weapon from freezing and bleeding killing 25% faster in cold than in summer maps.

I just want to see a large part of the german team wearing improvised rags instead of the official winter clothing. Basically, only the commander, the squad leaders and the elite classes should wear proper Wermacht winter clothing, while the rest of the team would look like beggars, especially in maps set in January or February. The whole german team wearing decent threads in late winter maps would be very unrealistic. But the clothing shoudn't affect the performance of the team, for the sake of balance.
Shivering would be also cool, but only if you keep crawling through snow for a while. Spending a whole map shivering would be terrible...

I don't think the soldiers will run around with a fancy t-shirt with 'I <3 NY' on it, no. They will probably wear winterclothes..

I wouln't mind seeing performance effects on one team, as long as the map is balanced to account for it.

Freezing conditions would be interesting if only simple weapons--bolt-action rifles, grenades, bayonets--were available.

seems people don't understand the game simulates combat. how ridiculous would it be for people to die of privation in the middle of a gun fight?

Haha, maybe it could be used to dissuade unwanted camping. Stop lying behind that berm and get into the capzone or you will freeze to death!
