Don't complain about RO2 here, just post your story, no matter how long it is!
To be honest, I never knew anything about RO until 2008, when the Steam news window popped up, announcing "Red Orchestra for only 5$". Then I thought "Aw 5$ is all I have in my credit card, but it seems promising, so why not. *starts reading description* >Realistic WW2 shooter<, oh yeah!". I bought it. At first, I decided to practice a bit in singleplayer. The controls were very awkward, although, the realistic bolting system and free weapon movement made my jaw drop! It was hard and I died a lot, but once I got used to the controls, I joined a multiplayer server. First impression - everyone was very welcoming and nice enough to help me out. Second, I felt like I'm in a true battlefield: artillery blowing up near you, people screaming of pain, bullets whizzing close to your ears. Amazing immersion that made my heart fill with adrenaline. Since then I didn't remove RO from my Steam games and I always found time to play it. It was a trully amazing game, until I found out about RO2... IN DEVELOPMENT! Ever since, I read these forums to this day...
