Right, this is due to LOD detail :)

Inside the roengine.ini, there are many lines like this :
TEXTUREGROUP_Character=(MinLODSize=64,MaxLODSize=64,LODBias=64,MinMagFilter=Aniso,MipFilter=Linear)

Does anybody here knows which values can be put for the different texturegroup? Because if you set a too low value, then the textures goes black :(
I'd like to be able to set & force the minimum level of detail. And despite the value posted above, I still have 2/3 level of detail ingame.

Just search the forums, already several threads about this. And most of them have turned into flame wars because the majority of us don't want people playing like this.

Unfortunately, "LOD" is too short, so I can't perform and search about it.

Do you think you can link me some thread?

ATM, i'm only looking for a way to modify the 3 level of lod to a single one.

Also, I probably need to contact tripwire since I've found some easy way to remove texture from walls for example (which gives huge advantages when you only see targets).

p.s. your picture shows a static mesh with pre-shadowed textures. It would look like that with no shadows in the map anyway. The shadow is on one side of the box and the box can be rotated by the mapper when he copies and pastes it.

1. I don't see a shadow.
2. No, you have to restart the game for the game to reload the initialization file.

Not so hard.
Well it's kind of a pain, especially when you are toying with the ini files.

Ah, I miss the idtech based game ...

Here is a screenshot of what I get atm (click on it to enlarge it) :

There isn't really any shadow left :p

But what really annoys me, is the multiple level of LOD, and despite all my research, I can't find any way to get a single level of LOD. It's a bit hard to explain, maybe I'm not clear enough?

Thanks for your reply anyway :)
