I started playing on FF servers just recently.

I have to admit, the first few times, I caught myself yelling in the mic, WTF!!!??? and/or BULLSH!!.

But after a half dozen games or so, I caught on to the style, and have to say, its much more fun then not having FF on.

On normal I kept running into dick headed players who kept running around aimlessly, blocking shots.

Also, nothings more satisfying then taking the Hunting Shotty and emptying both barrels into a prick who forgets that FF is on.

...therefore descending to his level and making yourself look like a putz.

Why do we use FF if we don't like it? ;)

I usually laugh when someone shoots me. When someone shoots me twice, I laugh a bit more.

Accidental friendly fire is always fun. It makes an athmosphere of fear and panic - at least I know that others are feeling something like that.

That's an example of FF working correctly. Sadly, it seems on the rare side.
And WRT to the score tab, I agree that # kills in a team game doesn't sit well. But the health display is useful to the medic (cleric :).
I think the money, money, money should be evenly distributed after the wave, not just the bonus. A good team will share it around anyway, but that takes extra time.

Yeah, Well the Tab display should say Health statues, class, and location. If there are locations on the map that is. Like in west London, you have church, ouside police station, inside PS, basement floor PS, north tunnel and so on

All that and, because, apparently they added this nice little class called Firebug. IMO, Firebug is near-impossible to play on Friendly Fire because if someone even walks near your fire, they're lit up instantly with no fire resistance (Unless they're a Firebug too! A pair of Level 5 Firebugs = No friendly fire even if it IS a FF server!). Usually, it means a quick, nasty death, as with no Fire Resistance, your health with EVAPORATE from fire...

This is only a problem with bad teams running around like headless chickens.

I have played firebug pretty often on FF servers and I rarely catch anyone on fire. Maybe once a map on a long game, if that.

Playing with friendly fire is all about maintaining a position, crouching, covering a certain direction or type of zed, and not moving sporadically. It's not that hard--it just requires some tactics and discipline.

I think by discussing formations, you've probably just blown the minds of most non-FF players.:D

Seriously, though, that looks like a pretty effective formation. I like how the medic is in the center so he can very quickly heal people.

I tend to avoid FF unless I'm with friends. People just don't understand the concept of letting things come to you instead of rushing out to meet them in KF.

But even with friends, grenades not clipping is usually the death of someone before long.

In FF games I have to say one thing. KF is like a game of chess, you must think before you shoot! I see so many people shooting at everything. Let me explain :
3 ppl in a long corridor (1besk, 1 med, 1 support)
zerk is on the left side while the medic is behind him and the support is on the right.
As the zerk is killing some clots on the way with melee the support is shooting at the same target as the zerk is going for. What is the use in that? You dont need to shoot the clots when someone else can handle it. Pick out your targets that not beeing handled. That's one thing I get so pissed of about and that what makes people shoot each other. If a zerk goes in to kill the clots or easly melee targets let him do it, On suicide this is needed, as when bigger target comes he goes back into position to do range damage.
I am one that has unbound the "score" tab because i don't see the reason in seeing how many kill you have, and i think that's what drives people in running in trying to get more kills.
Another little thing is When i play suicide I notice a lot of people are out of ammo half way when we get to wave 6 and up, reason because all 6 are wasting ammo shooting the low tier monsters. (if you get my drift)
Unbinding the score tab is generally a bad idea, you can see the relative health of your teammates with it. And if they're dead or not.
