Beta Map TE-WestHarbor

Hey guys! I'm doing a quick update to let you know I started working on this map again. I do however need your help with adding bots so I can balance the map before modelling too much (due to possible changes).

I know I managed to add bots the last time I did this. I cannot remember how and if it was from the editor or the actual game itself. I've googled this for a few hours and no luck, all of the threads are for dedicated servers or such. "Addbots" and "open TE-WestHarbor?minplayers blabla" wont work.

I hope some kind soul can help me with this before Monday so I can get straight to business :D

Sorry for not posting in a while but I've been busy with finishing Alter_Light_ (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=119388941).

The major changes I've done so far:
* Pretty much deleted all props and stuff on the map and started blocking it up again.
* Cleared up Kismet and worked a bit on the objectives and spawns.
* Worked alot with the bot support. It works OK now with 16 players but I'm trying to get it to work nicely with 32.
* Started using the props and materials in the editor instead of pushing half-arsed meshes.
* Added another entrance to the hangar through stairs.
* Changed the setting to a less ruined place. Want this to feel like a sneak attack more then a full frontal assault.

Working on this right now:
* Building a basement in the hangar ((obj1) for axis advance spawn)
* Tweaking AI behavior so the bots act correctly when taking over the first objective.
* focusing on finishing the maps basic looks from axis spawn to objective 1 (the hangar) placing props, covers and lights.

I'm building lights over the night. By tomorrow afternoon (UTC+1) it will be up and running on the server. It's pretty much up to MultiplayUK, they had some problems. Also avalaible on steam workshop at that time.


Please, Make the client and server files independently available.... too.

This is all pretty new to me, I will search the forum but if you know where to look please send me the link.

Just observe the manner in which all other custom maps are released and do the same.

Example;
Client Files: (Hosted on Media Fire)

Server Files: (Hosted on Media Fire)

Steam Workshop Files: (Hosted on SWS)

I don't know if it works on a server yet since MultiplayUK still havn't got my server up and running. If anyone can confirm that it works I will be thankful :)

update:
multiplayUK didnt have support to play custom maps via Steam Workshop. My hopes are that some kind soul add it to their map-cycle

Thanks mate! I just missed it though and me and my 2 friends could not vote for it. Is the map vote de-activated?

I have map vote turned off due to abuses.
