Is the're a guide to tanking somewhere?

Because i'm always worried i might be missing something...

Like in the german tank is the're a periscope?? (other then the drivers periscope). Surprizing german tech would not have added this in there tank!!!

How do you make turret turn when you are commander of german tank? Its seems to work well for russian tank but i can't figure it out for german tank.

Also i don't understand how you should angle the tank??? Anywhere i can get this info?

The armor /angle system is still wrong/bugged.

I killed/let explode several times russian T-34 with the Anti-tank-rifle while shooting on the side armor while being angled extreme (~70

The problem is the blind spots in the cupola, i think it would be great if they could integrate being able to move a bit around in commanders seat, so you could like peak through the little windows??

On a side note how do you make the turret turn as german tank commander???

Does the german Panzer have a periscope??
I believe its called the T.S.R. 1 observation periscope though I don't know what Panzer IV version had it or how common it was:

You didn't see this Question here? :<

You can only turn the Turret without using mouse movements when in the GUNNER's seat and not aiming. Use the left click as with the Russian Gunner. Note the Russian Gunner is also acting as a commander, unlike the German tank where there's a Commander and a Gunner. Cycling through the views on the German tank with the mouse wheel will take you from...
-Aiming the Cannon (Gunner)
-Looking at the cannon sights and side view holes. This is where the Left Click turns the turret. (Gunner)
-Commanders Seat (Commander)
-Opening the Hatch (Commander)

Hope that helps somewhat, even with the slightly unstructured manner. ^^

Thanks but i understand that part, you have confirmed though for me that its only the the gunner or gunner/commander(russian) that can make the cannon turn. Its weird though i think the german commander should be able to give orders to turn the turret in a certain direction no?

Wow I did not see that question from the OP.

His last question was:
"Also i don't understand how you should angle the tank??? Anywhere i can get this info?"

My interpretation of that question:
Please help me, i do not know how to angle the tank to avoid damage by enemy fire.

If you drive a T-34 and you face a Panzer IV G or a PZB 784(R) you should angle your turret to reduce damage!!!!!
Never let them shoot your front turret armor.
Especially the PZB has problem to penetrate your side turret...BUT has no problems to penetrate your front turret armor.

Before you ask.....it does not make any sense....accept it as the usual TWI-works (like the tanks in RO1) and live with it.

I understand the PZB not being able to penetrate.

But a Panzer IV will most definately penetrate the T-34's turret, it wasnt common for the turret to be blown clean off after getting shot by a Panzer IV.

If you drive a T-34 and you face a PTRS-41 your complete frontal armor is impervious......NEVER ANGLE THEN !!!!!...you only expose your side armor and risk damage/death.

Not true. In my T-34 at the Hill on Ogledow, Deadmeat as AT inf two separate times as I faced him head-on, by aiming just above my main gun, both times knocked it out of commission.

Well German tanks tended to have Cupola's and used Periscopes for the Driver to use when buttoned up. The Allies tended to use Periscopes pretty heavily (almost every crewmember had access to one including the loader), but lacked cupola's until later in the war (even then many tanks in service never got one). In fact Churchill VII tank not only had a cupola for the commander but also a separate rotatable periscope.

Experience my friend.
You come to a point that you think that TWI has updated the tanks but
then you are playing better.
Look for the weak points of both tanks.

Yes but the T34 had no problems whatsoever with the PZIV

Ingame you need dozens of rounds with the T34 to kill a PZIV but it often kills your T34 in 2 shots

Not to mention the PZIV is a gasoline engined tank wich had a chance of 80% catching fire when penetrated, while the T34 only had 30-40%

Are you sure it was a PTRS?

Only german "Anti-tank-rifle"-VETERANS or better are equipped with the PTRS (it is a bug).

Usually you will meet/face a PZB 784(r) as russian T-34 tanker (cause the most people are not veteran and so are not forced to take the PTRS)

In this game the PZB 784(R) is easy capable of penetrating the T-34/76 front turret, BUT not the PTRS.

The PTRS is never able to penetrate a T-34/76 front turret without a previous damaging hit caused by a PZB 784(r) or a Panzer IV.

I am level 27 with PZB 784 (r) and level 49 with PTRS and i killed about 900 tanks till now....(mostly the T-34).

So believe me ...i tested it all ;-)

The T-34/76 cannon is capable of penetrating 77-81mm at 100 meters and 0

i seem to remember tank diagrams with highlihted weakspots for RO1. Some of these would be good, I think TWI produced them.
