If by 'vote' you mean real time sequence of going into the member's compartment and shooting their head off, then I like this idea!! :D Now, I think another way to encourage team tanking is to allow people to change spots, but make it take time, maybe even show a real time sequence of going from the compartments. That way, if someone decides that they own a tank because they got in the drivers seat, they can get owned by team tankers.

These aren't mutually exclusive ideas.

Let me explain. There is no time. I'll sum up.

1) Spawn in tanks applies only to Combined Arms maps, where only 1 or 2 tanks

2) Pick tank roles / sub-class - such as gunner, bow-MG, driver, and even commander if available. This would work best with assigned tanks - like an assigned squad.

3) Spawn in tank, in chosen role - but after spawning, you can switch to different positions, assuming person in that role if there is one, agrees. This should be done without getting out of the tank, but should take a realistic amount of time

4) If a crewmember is hit, they don't respawn in the tank (unless that tank returns to spawn). They must wait until a new tank spawns. Also, once that crewmember is killed, they can be replaced by another crewman switching positions - assuming the crew station is still functional. This should also take time to change positions, as it would in real life.
