I'm curious as to if there will be tank fires in HoS, and how the crewman inside would react. I could definitely see some exciting moments (for you) as a tanker while your tank is slowly engulfed in flames with you trapped inside.

Well, since tankers can't escape the fire, it would be pointless to make you sit through a prolonged death sequence.

However I'm fairly confident that on occasion you will be able to see fire inside the tank, and still be able to operate the vehicle.

I'm not really tank savvy, but why can't a tanker exit a tank that is on fire?

I think the tankers should be able to get out of the tank and find another tank but can't pick up a rifle or something, or atleast drive the tank back to some depot so they can "refuel" on crew. Anyone agree?

I thought i heard in an interview where players who choose tank class are a part of the tank. No more bailing from tanks right before the coup de grace

Its too bad that the tankers cant bail out.
It would have been nice to be able to have tankers bail out, not be able to cap points, and return to base for a new tank with no death (for those that are concerned)

Come on guys, we've had the "no tank bail" discussion in at least half a dozen other threads on tanks.

Yes it's a contentious issue, but that's what TWI has decided.

No capping power and the ability to use/pickup a pistol only would have made lone tankers irrelavent.

it's not about lone tanking, you could in fact lone tank in RO2.

The issue is players bailing from a tank in 0.01 seconds the instant they saw the other tank fire it's cannon.

Fun killer and quite cheesy. I used to strap myself into the tank and stayed until the end for sports sake.
