Tactics Tactical Organizations In RO:Ost

Having watched a video of the "Arad" map, I think that's going to be my favorite! I can't remember if it's combined arms or pure armor. Anyway, for a 16-man combined arms team, I was thinking 4 armor crewmen(2 to each tank) and 12 infantry organized into into various assault and support teams, depending on the mission. Maybe a 3 - man smg team, a 3 - man lmg team(1 gunner and 2 riflemen for support and ammo resupply), a 3 - man rifle team, and a 3 - man command team(1 commander and 2 troops as his guards or specialists that he can commit to battle where he deems fit.)

Of course, this is just my opinion, but I'd rather have an infantry-heavy combined arms team.

Just a thought, ya know, since we'd be planning on playing in Leagues where we'd have to play both German and Russian teams and like that. Somehow, a clan name like "1st Brandenburg Guards Panzergrenadiers Orel Brigade" just doesn't sound quite right; does it? :D
just stumbled across that post and you are not quite correct :)
roladder.net offers a ladder where you can play only one side (given that there are enough clans from both sides) ;)

Yes, worluk, you're correct that roladder does that. I was attempting a joke with spiffybuddha about what name to give to our new clan-platoon. Since we're attempting to "blend" the ranks and nomenclature of both German and Russian armies of WW2, the clan name in the quote was a light-hearted attempt to describe our difficulty in choosing a name. We have settled upon "1st Vzvod-Zug" as our platoon's name.
