Swat Battering Ram does not knock down zeds when they are blocking their head.

I was debating over where to put this thread, into ideas & suggestions or bug report... decided to post here.

Swat's battering ram skill does NOT knockdown zeds when they do their head blocking action, such as scrakes. gorefiends, gorefasts, bloats, fleshpounds.
They will still take damage from the ram, but until they stop doing the head block.

It's quite an inconvenience to get stuck in a room during zed time with battering ram, only because of a head blocking zed denying the knockdown and destroying any chance of escape.

What's funny about this is that you can ram an enraging Fleshpound but you can't ram a gorefiend/bloat when it blocks its head, and if you ram an enraging fleshpound atacking you don't get any damage but the Gorefiend's Blade gives you damage! I'm not sure about the Gorefast though

This is a feature change request, not a bug. :)
Hence the first line of the thread "debating where to put it"
On one hand its a feature change.... on other it sounds more like a bug or oversight, where battering ram will still apply damage to a zed that does the head blocking move, but will not apply knockdown.... because of the head blocking move.

So this is basically a core issue with the zeds themselves, on why battering ram can't fully shine as a viable skill.

"Note: blocking ZED become completely immune to the effects of Knockdown, Stun and Stumble (does not accept incap powers at all). All other incaps during the block getting their powers reduced by 80% (ZED accepts only 20% of the incap powers), power mitigation effect begins after 0.25 seconds since the block move started."

If only there was an exception for the swat's ram skill where it would knockdown a zed no matter what.

Currently no plans for the change.

It was a design decision to not let the battering ram skill over ride blocking mechanics. This was revisited back when they added the extra damage to zed while battering ram was active. The decision remained to not let it over ride because it was felt that it became too over powered.
