The Russians were only issued 2 spare mags (if any at all) for the SVT. Chargers are normal.

SVT was specifically designed to accept stripper clips as they were FAR more common than the box magazines and it was far more likely that thief comrade in arms would have spare clips rather than mags.

Why would the SVT just get stripper clips?!?!

It ain't a Lee Enfield.

You'd be surprised! The origina Lee-Enfield prodigies did actually have a removable box magazine but because it was created in the days just before the concept of mass manufacturing came into place it was decided that soldiers would lose or destroy the box far too often.

This is one of the many reasons the Lee-enfield is one of the coolest guns ever!!!

Early enfileds also had a small chain attaching the magazine to the gun for fear of the soldier loosing the magazine ( like you wouldent notice that was gone?!).
It was also specified that the gun be usable without the magazine so that they could give the rifle to well 'lesser people' and they wouldent waste the magazines worth of ammo quickly. ( Lesser people in the original context being the uneducated plebs in british colonies whos skin colour was often not white.....)

Another rifle who has this is the Swiss schmidt rubin. Swiss soldiers where infact issued a second Magazine.

As for the soviets post war, a standard kalashnikov equipped soldier had 3 magazines in his assault vest and one in the AK. A typical NATO soldier had 5 to 6. BUT each Soviet soldier had a bandolier attached underneath the assault vest, with 10x15 round stripper clips, ready to be inserted in the magazine

Later assault vests had room for 6 magazines. Underneath the assault vest the soldier could still hang a bandolier with ammo, or a grenade pouch for 10 VOG-25 grenades

But yeah, regarding the SVT, the standard load was 2 magazine and a bunch of stripper clips. But some soldiers had 3 magazines, in the army you can always get what you want ;)

Same goes for the PPSH. first a soldier had 2 -3 drum mags. This was later changed to 1-2 drum magazines and 3-4 box magazines.

So let me get this straight, you want the weapon with a DETACHABLE box magazine to be loaded ONLY by Stripper clips simply for balance? Even when a RKKA Strelok-Avotmatich would've had both (a) Two Magazines plus (b) The standard issue ammunition for the Mosin (which could then be used to load the SVT). You sir, are smoking some fine Ganja.

Get the **** out. Too much has been sacrificed in the name of "balance." The G41 was not a reliable weapon - so you already get more then what you should by one that functions flawlessly in game. Next person who uses the argument "Oh but its unbalanced atm" is going to make me drive my fist through my monitor. Last time I checked, war wasn't a chess game, remember when both sides in a MP game had their own unique strengths and weaknesses? So do I. Oh, how those were the days....

I think the current system is fine. And the last thing we need are nerfs for the russians, they already have it so hard
