so I thought about this while laying in bed: why not have the option to drop your weapon and surrender, the enemy won't get points if he shoots you...but the friendlies will get like points if they shoot you. The only question is: you surrenderd, great, but now what?

damn dude, ive been looking around multiple threads, and in each one, you were there, bashing the ideas and adding comments like go play bf2...
you might surrender when you know you're outnumbered, and youve got no chance to win. not everyone would do it ofcourse since my guess is most of them will want to try to take as many with them into death as they can ^^
on the other hand, others might surrender, you could use the use button on them to capture them or something, and they'd 'die' and respawn.. you could get points for capturing enemies maybe.
IRL people surrendered, i think it might be another thing that could immerse you into this game more, if done well.

I like the idea. Though I don't like it that friends could kill you. The enemy can kill you and get one point or arrest you and get 2/3 points (they were used for information).
Though I don't know what happents then, do you need to walk with someone else to their base, do you disappear affter your arrested...

Why would you surrender!, fight to the death! and i know if i saw some solDIEr surredering i would just shoot him. Why take away the chance to shoot back. Die with your rifle in your hands, not your tail between your legs.

what if you haven no weapons: weapon shot out of hand and used all your nades? I had it a couple of times where an enemy was shooting me, shot my weapon out of my hands, I had no time to stop and pick up my weapon so I ran away and threw some nades to kill him, but failed.

This is kind of a dumb idea.
However, I would like to see the ability for the team to vote to surrender. If the vote passes, the match ends immediately and you move on to the next map. This is to avoid prolonging the pain on some of the more retarded maps in the game.

If it's a stupid idea, I'll let you know. If you want to role play surrender, go for it....all you have to do is drop all your weapons and walk around unarmed. Then someone will shoot you.

I would just shoot the surrenderee, or if this is implemented add the ability to club with grenades

then lets say you get extra points for a capture, then people would not shoot you, problem solved.
its not like everyone would immediately start doing this man, but think about what if it did happen once in a while. there is more to war then point the gun and take the shot

Two reasons to surrender:
No reinforcement lost. This might actually be very stupid thing, but it wouldn't kill you(maybe every prisoner would escape =D )
-3 points for dying, -1 for surrendering
3 points for capturing a surrendered soldier, or vacation behind lines =D
