To TWI: Instead of just releasing patches as you normally would (which is what most companies do), you could try testing the patch on your normal players. When I used to play heroes of newerth, they had a private beta/patch program, where they chose specific clans/competitive players to test the patch for weeks before it would actually get released. Honestly, this was a great way of testing their patches, and would get more "stress" testing, rather than (what i believe what happens) testing it in-house, then releasing it without the proper testing it needs for the public.

tl;dr give a beta program to players so we can test the patch before it is fully released. It will help test the patch to see if it really does what it's supposed to for most people.

feedback from who,forumiess or devs?

Its a good idea, but can they find enough people at the same time to stress test the patch while the full game is out?

If they can and if they want to do this before releasing patch in the open would be a nice thing because if the patch is suppose to fix something minor but break else major its better to be tested ahead of time.

Daily patches > tested patches

How? Do you want another patch that crashes your game every time you try to start it up? How about one that causes blue screens, or something along those lines. It happened just a few days ago with the patch they released, no one could start ro2.

Yeah it crashed my game, but they fixed it in no time. I'd still rather have quick updates.

If there is a tue big problem... they can just roll back the patch like they did without little trouble.
