I hear people think the LAW sucks, however not everyone thinks that, one of those people being me. What do you want me to do to fix/make the LAW better? Do you want it more powerful? More ammo? View controlled? Larger damage radius? Lower weight? Etcetera... I will take all/any reasonable suggestions, add it to the LAW and post it as a mutator to download.

I did make a post somewhere on what I felt the LAW needed. Can't remember all of it but the basic idea was make it cheapish to buy, weight 1 block, only has one ammo, and once you use up your shot you automatically drop the LAW, oh and you could also buy more than 1 LAW as long as you could carry the weight.

The idea was to make the LAW it's original disposible self, the LAW isn't too bad a weapon but the fact that you can't really carry anything else screws you over.

Well first of all, the L.A.W should have a bit more of damage, right now it has 850 as default and 1360 as level 6 (60%+) .. What you think of this weapon when you sees it is mostly "Woow, this weapon looks like the ultimate FP killer!" However that's not the case..

A Fleshpound has 5906 in hit points at a suicidal game with 6 guys in it. That means it requires 5 missiles of 12 to take it down as a level 6 demo.. This seems a little bit unfair for a weapon that only holds 12 missiles, weigh 14kg and also takes about 3 sec to reload.. My suggestion is: The damage level should be ~1240 as default instead of 850. Then, as level 6 in demo, it would do ~1984 in damage. This means it takes 3 missiles to take down a Fleshpound, it still seems quite alot, but it's fair imo. (It would also take down husks as lvl 6)

Also make the weight of this weapon less (like 10-11 kg instead of 14) so you could bring a backup weapon including the 9mm.. What do you think? This is based on suicidal, 6man game.

I think I posted this one pretty long time ago but here's my suggestion:

1. It has low weight so it can be carried with other weapons.
2. It should have moderately highish price (around 1000-1400

I'll make the law about 9 or 7 weight, add a shockwave like seen in the vid, a giant fire ball and everything else I can find.

Either make it a fire and forget drop weapon (in the way of the Pipebomb), or make it a hard hitter weapon (in the way of the LAW).

1) Buy the gun, minimal weight, like suggested somewhere above. 2 Loads, costing 400 each (except for demo, usual cost bonus; demo can carry +1 per level). Explosion damage like pipebomb, but smaller radius since it can be aimed and triggering remote bombs can be more difficult / damaging to self.

or

2) Make the LAW a force. All bonusses apply for Demoperk. Weighs 6-8 pounds (I need to check to balance out with M32), costs around 1200 with only 5 shots + ammo (10 per shot). Max ammo is 30, lower than Xbow, without piercing values, but weighs less and has blast radius. It's also slower than the xbow and produces smoke. Makes it an extremely slow, hardhitting weapon for demoperk.
€ Oh right I forgot, damage needs to be adjusted (heightened) in order to balance it out. Kinda like 2000 seems right with perk bonusses calculated in. Of course this would need to be checked ingame.

"They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. I present to you the newest in Tripwire Interactive's Freedom line. Actually i spoke with my friend a bit about this. I suggested raising the max ammo to 15, And instead of only being able to fire once then reload, You get 3 rockets that are Loaded the same way the M1 Garand is reloaded, As you fire the rockets, The "Magazine"(not really sure what to call it) Moves up some, and when you fire your last one it is ejected and a new one is slid into place. Sure not realistic or anything, But thats Kf for you :p It has more damage per shot than the M32, and a faster reload. But it also has much less Reserve rounds, and weighs more. not to mention ammo boxes would only restore 3 rockets. and would better suit Support, than demo. because if demo took it, They'd only have 15-18 rockets, And not enough space to carry anything else. so once those rockets are gone, your screwed. Support on the other hand, Can carry that and use something else as a primary weapon, Only using the LAW to eliminate Large groups, or very tough targets. If it had this ability, It'd broaden the use of the LAW much more, Without it becoming overpowered.

I'm probably the only one who feels it's fine as it is.

The way I look at it, it's a support weapon for the Support perk; Now, while there is a demo-perk it doesn't make that much sense now as it did before, but as support you can easily carry that and a standard shotgun, which is pretty dope even on the hardest difficulties. You use it to soften up pounders and kill things next to it, while it's on its way and then the rest of the group finish it off.

I very much like the idea of a cartridge loading system for it, since you'd want to fire off three shots and not be hampered by the very slow reload, but it's a blatant buff.
