stoping sound from passing through walls

Is there any way to stop sound from passing into the next room?
Im working on adding rain to my map and i dont want the rain sound from out nside inside.

Is there any way to stop sound from passing into the next room?

Im working on adding rain to my map and i dont want the rain sound from out nside inside.
  • Are the rooms zoned?
  • Is your Transient Sound radious < the normal sound radious?
  • You can also mask some excess sound with rain hitting the roof inside sound too

yes the rooms are zoned and yes the transit is high then then normal, i did add sounds to the other rooms to mask it but they didnt work as i wanted

You can stop most sounds coming through walls by using the "SoundOcclusion" type to "OCCLUSION_BSP"

That will muffle the sounds through BSP.

Likewise, setting the property to "OCCLUSION_StaticMeshes" will stop sounds passing through static meshes.

Works great with surround sound!
