Plenty of games like team fortress 2 or terraria do free content and are really successful games.Saying you've been spoiled is just plain stupid.They could do free content and make people wanna play the game more and buy more DLCS or buy extra copies but they decided to just sell DLCS instead.

Team Fortress 2 and Terraria are both amazingly popular games in their own right. When TF2 released the $100 rings, By the end of the week a good hundred plus were sold, and that's not even counting how many more were sold when they briefly put them on sale for $50. Killing Floor wouldn't have that privilege. They release a $100 real-world money item, and all they'd get is complaining. Hell, they literally just released an $8 pack of weapons and people are *****ing and moaning.

Stop being greedy children.

we should not be counted as lucky for they updating a game for free they used do it to attract more people towards the game now they're just greedy,also being old is not a excuse and we do miss something new content.

It would be greedy if Tripwire forced us to spend money on the DLC, or if for example one of the new guns was a game-changer that was necessary to have a chance. People wanted new content and they delivered. TW owes us nothing and there are no grounds for people to stand on if they're moaning because we didn't get more free stuff this update around.

I feel that being old[er] is an excuse because a lot of games just come out and that is it. No new content, no DLC free or otherwise. Comparatively we are being spoiled by Killing Floor.

Also we just got free stuff from them like 4-5 months ago.

Buzzsaw bow isn't OP anymore, hell I never see it in use anymore. It is a neat mob thinner, great for clearing out husks and sirens in a mob.

My post was explicitly referring to the most recent update and associated DLC pack.

However, when we got the Buzzsaw Bow we also got free content including weapons, a map and an unlockable character. Are you claiming that in addition to the free content we recieved that they also should have supplied the Buzzsaw Bow as a free weapon because it turned out to be pretty awesome?

In that case you were paying for an advantage. Does not using the Buzzsaw Bow reduce your chances of survival? It should not if you know how to play the game.

It fills the Bezerker's on-perk ranged weapon niche, but it also costs a ****load for ammo, takes eons to reload, and is all but useless against sparse specimens. It is fun for ****ing around with, though. It's basically a low-tier M99, mid-tier for any other perk.

Of course. Unfortunately, the way Bezerker works, there's really no good way to give him a ranged weapon that's both fair and enjoyable, unless it was, say, a multi-perk weapon with different attachments for certain perks. Rifle with a melee attack middle click function, anybody?

My problem isn't necessarily that the Berserker now has a perked ranged weapon, my problem is that you have to pay for it. Filling a huge niche and having to pay to access it is a **** move.

Exactly. I happen to enjoy these updates, and hope they keep coming. While I don't necessarily buy the DLC I do REALLY enjoy the free updates, and the Zed changes, and I appreciate the work that goes into them.

TF 2 was doing well way before that fiasco but whatever all hail tripwire.

You don't have to pay for it to access it. Ask somebody who has the weapon to drop it for you. Bam.

I am sorry, but considering that I haven't seen you be constructive in your complaints ever, and that your complaint rate is near 100% with every bit of additional content Tripwire has put out, it's really really hard to take you seriously.

I should also point out that you don't have to buy the DLC to access the DLC weapons, ScrN Balance lets you buy them from the store regardless. The only caveat is that you'll have to let go of your level 6 perks. (Seriously though, ScrN Balance is an amazing mutator, more people should be playing this.)

I only play with my select group of friends, and none of us have the DLC. Pubbing is a disaster on Sui/HoE.

Every DLC? I never complained about cosmetic DLC.

I should also point out that you don't have to buy the DLC to access the DLC weapons, ScrN Balance lets you buy them from the store regardless. The only caveat is that you'll have to let go of your level 6 perks. (Seriously though, ScrN Balance is an amazing mutator, more people should be playing this.)

Getting stuff for free isn't good enough for you, you also have to get the stuff they sell to make a living for free as well?

If a man gave me bread on a regular basis, is it really fair for me to begin complaining that he doesn't also give me the cheese bread for free too? I mean, would I prefer the cheese bread? Yes. Does that make the normal bread that I am getting for free any less of a kindness? It does not, no. To this day I do not understand how people lack the ability to comprehend that they're lucky to get ANYTHING at all in terms of game updates. name for me a game that has a buy once model and has continually, for consecutive years, supported that same game with moderate to large content updates, for free.

Well you have, and I distinctly remembered you and the1stwasted getting particularly ugly on the last discussion we had on the previous DLC pack that was released.

Also, I wouldn't know since I pretty much bought all weapon DLCs on launch. The only reason I do this is because I like Tripwire and want to support them. The extra weapons are just a bonus. It's not like the modding community hasn't already done a good, or even better job of populating the weapons roster for the game.

Also, starting over from scratch is part of the fun of playing on a ScrN server.
