thanks for your advice last thread i made, helped out a lot.
so, the other day, i was doing my usual routine of initiating ticklefights with fleshpounds, when i thought to myself, "well hold on. those mace restraints on the FP's arms are made for pounding flesh, right?" and its true. they added the Husk cannon a few years back too. (you can probably see where i'm going with this.)
so heres my suggestion. The Zedpounder (its all i could go with for a name.)
Basically, the ZP is a Fleshpounds Mace that has been welded to a metal pole, thus making it perfect for bashing Clots and the like. however, with such a powerful weapon, there is inevitably a downside or two. for one thing, this meat tenderizer is heavy. i'm talking 9-10 blocks heavy. for another, its sluggish. sure, it pounds raw meat like The Mama Bessie puts on pounds of her own, but the sheer force of such a weapon has to have this kind of drawback.
the weapon wouldnt be able to oneshot Fleshpounds and scrakes (can stun though, WITHOUT alt-fire?), but with such a heavy hitting force and a slightly longer range than the claymore, steadily mincing up the Horde would be good fun, and would (HOPEFULLY) prove as somewhat of a challenge to Beserkers, as they would have to deal with the sluggish swings, heavy weight, and learn to work around them in order to use this baby to its fullest potential.
this is my input, and i'd like to hear yours on the matter.
please suggest any rebalancing ideas, and i look forward to hearing your responses. :3
