What. Dead Rising 2 is an AMAZING GAME!

It's not killing the zombies that's satifying. It's HOW you kill them

Whether you re-enact Shaun of the dead with Vinyl records(and the "Tattered clothes" AKA Shaun's clothes) or live out the epic scene from Braindead using the Porta Mower, or launch dinner plates at 9001 miles per hour down an imitation Vegas Strip through 100 zombies.

I LoLed at that, have a rep point :)

... but that aside, I'm still keeping the faith

... even though I find it quite curious that its taken this long to sort the games balance changes. Its been 4 months since Yosh posted that thread about the balance changes.

I mean I'm no coder... or modeller.. or anything really, but I'm sure it couldn't have taken THAT long to implement the changes, small Developement team or not thats one seriously cramped backburner :)

But hey ho, KF is still cool :)

I think it was a big mistake to leave the balance (and broken spawning) as it is for so long. I'm sure it has lost quite a few players...

I hope that every one of you was being sarcastic about the "KF is dying". Killing Floor has consistently peaked out at over 1200 players during its whole life and prior to this update, that was still true. Everyone's been claiming that "RO is dying" for 2 years now, but guess what, the player count still peaks out between 700 and 900 players each day, which is what it was a couple years ago.

You guys should come up with some new saying, because we've heard that one and it's just as untrue for Killing Floor now as it has been for RO for the past 2 years. :D

*shrug* people buy things all the time on Steam because its on offer and doesn't cost that much. If the number of players after the free weekend ends is around the same as it is the same time next week then maybe...

Every time we put the game on sale or have a free weekend, we end up retaining a much higher player count for 2-6 months following. I'm sure at this point in the game's life cycle it will be more on the 2 month end than the 6 month end, but we'll have to see.

for some reason the title of this thread just makes me think of the billy joel song "keeping the faith" :)

anyway....how could it even be possible for somebody to completely lose their faith?! but perhaps a "great awakening" might help restore the faith of anyone who's temporarily veered off the path of TW/KF righteousness :D

What sort of "great awakening" might you be referencing?

your and Yoshi's plan to work with the community to produce a more complete balance update asap.....which would help restore the "faith" of the people that were disappointed with this last update. ;)

(note: if you mean, like the historic reference....well, it was just an analogy with nothing religious/political etc... implied :D)

I'm not sure there will be a "great awakening", more like figuring out the most comfy way to go to the "eternal rest".
