I know after Crete they stopped doing large\divisional scale air drops
And lets not forget the Gran Sasso raid (technically not a para drop but impressive none the less)Fixed.
So is it possible to find out if any of them were armed with FG42s?
Where is this info from, one of your books or a website?
The FG42 would make a superb unlock weapon - rare as hell it may be, but if it existed during the period and was used by German troops during the campaign (no matter how few) then it's surely possible to include it.
Are you sure about the FG42? I thought the suffix of '42' was the date of which it officially went into service?
Sturm
Why doesn't it make sense?... which I find more than a tad silly. Oh well I guess it's an excuse to add a new cool gun, even if it makes basically no historical sense what so ever.
From what I understand, thousands of the Mkb were put into field testing around '43...

But we aren't in 43', yet; we are in Stalingrad in 1942.
Wikipedia says that the battle ended on 2nd of February 1943
This theory collapses of course, if the MG 42 is in game
What are the differences between an MKb 42 and an MP43/44?
Actually... there was a story of an incident at Pitomnik, where a plane crashed on landing - its cargo being Iron Crosses and condoms Can't be bothered to try and hunt that one down, though!
yes, it's only a game lets put in bunnyhopping and why not give them an stg44.
that kind of argument is stupid.
