I do have Alan Wake from when it was a humble Bundle weekly sale.

I ended up getting System Shock 2 and Devil May Cry 4. Never played SS2 before and have heard nothing but good things. I've just been having a hankering for some DMC action, so playing the PC version of DMC4 seems like a good idea.

SS2 is my personal favourite fps. it inspired many of the modern successful titles like Dead Space, Bioshock etc.

If you want some updated graphics don't forget to install the SHTUP texture pack and the Rebirth model pack.

Well I picked up my final purchase for this sale and I had to make sure it was a good one.

So I got five games in total:

I've only gotten Dark Souls so far. There are many amazing deals, but I don't think I can justify buying a whole lot because I just don't have the time.

Dark Souls ran surprisingly well on my (ancient) machine. I had to use DSFix in reverse to change the internal resolution to 800x600 to get consistent 30-45 fps, but it's worth it. It's a kinda funny experience because playing the game I feel like I'm playing something that came out 8 years ago in terms of graphics (since I downgraded it so much)... and the gameplay feels "old" too (in a good way!).

My xbox controller hasn't arrived in the mail yet so I'm trying to resist the temptation to play much but I spent a couple hours yesterday trying to defeat the first boss. It took me a while, but I got him. Very satisfying! I can tell I'm going to have a lot of fun with this game. So many games these days are just interactive movies.

Bastion?

Not Bastion.

It's almost like point and click game with combat system, where you go into a combat mode and you chooce do you block or attack. Start screen had a vinyl that you could halt to stop the music and spin it to start the music.


I can't believe I'm not finding it anywhere. It was like on every store page and even on Steam like all the time. And now all of the sudden it's gone, like it disappeared.

Sniper Ghost Warrior for about $1 does not seem too bad. Right now it is $2.71. Reviews look pretty bad. How is the game overall? A buggy mess? Can you disable the bullet cam to?

Edit: Iron Warriros: T-72 is on sale for $.50. I never got into it and it did have low reviews, though if you are interested in trying a tank sim for a low price this might be worth your money.

Been playing Dark Souls all weekend. I was originally going to wait till my xbox controller arrived in the mail but I was too impatient .

This game really lived up to the hype. The swordplay is just glorious. Very very fun game. Right now I'm stuck trying to get past Havel the Rock. I got him down to 50% hp by repeatedly backstabbing him but then I made a small mistake and got one shot! Brutal game.

Watch out for hackers in Dark Souls. You can do everything with cheat engine nowadays, people killing you with one hit and you get cursed and that infected head thingy, ninja-flipping in havel armor which has 78000 defense and resistance in all stats, force invading in places where you shouldn't be able to, teleporting and flying through maps killing important NPCs from the host, stealing all humanity or even character stats..

@Gervaise Brook-Hampster As I understand it Dark Souls is a single player game hackers can ruin that for you? Really?

@NoxNoctum Did you get a wired or a wireless one and why the trouble of having ot mailed to you? A XboX controller (or any controller) is a great investment for PC gamers.
