If you were going to spend 15 bucks on any combination of indie titles running in the current Steam Sale, what would they be (not including Chivalry)? I'm looking for replayability.

Is Defense Grid any good? Deadlight (prob no replayability with this one)? Mark of the Ninja?

Also.. if you havent played Zeno Clash yet, for .99 cents it's a steal.

(if this is better off in the Gaming section, feel free to move it)

Welp, I bought The Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb.. I beat it on the first playthrough. Is it supposed to be this easy? Glad I only spent 4 bucks on it.

That's my fear with Miami.. I'll finish it in one night and never play it again. I asked around about Hotline and someone told me the first night he played it he was more than halfway through the game. So, I dunno. Maybe when it's down to $2.50 I'll buy it.

Gervaise - I own the original Trine. The game is beautiful and I like the mechanic of having to use the different classes to pass certain areas, but the game just wasnt for me. I got bored rather quickly, so I'm not sure Trine 2 is a good fit for me.

As far as FTL goes, someone was telling me it's a game based on pure luck and I'd have just as much fun guessing dice rolls. For example, if the game decides not to give you a certain weapon at a certain time, nothing you do will change a thing. Your success in the game has nothing to do with skill or learning how the game works and beating it.. it all comes down to pure luck with what weaponry you're allowed to aquire. Kinda like Solitaire.. in space. So I'm not sure I'll get this one until it's $2.50 either.

I almost bought Portal 2 for 5 bucks the other day but when I researched all the people on my friends list who have played it, out of 28 people only like 4 had over 20 hours of play time, most of them had under 15 hours and 7 of those were under 10 hours.. that right there made me not buy it. I can't believe some people spent $50 bucks on that. Wow.

Does anyone know why Mark of the Ninja has a freaking 92/100? Can it be that good? Or is this metacritic shenanigans again...

Also, Shadrach, if you're reading this.. how did you like Deadlight? Any good? Worth 5 bucks? I'm imagining it'll be that price pretty soon.

It's a short game yea but it has a high replay-ability value and I heard DLC will come out that's as long as the original and it might include a level editor.

Arent't you expecting too much for such low prices? I mean for Hotline Miami, you're getting a truly unique game with a sick soundtrack(you can play them just fine in your favourite media player) and 4-5 hours of gameplay.

I haven't played FTL but I'm sure it's not just a dice roll game, given it's popularity and good notes from critics.

Well what I meant by that was the first time I fired up the game, I made it all the way to Mom and defeated her really easily. After you beat Mom, what else is there besides collecting all of the items (which I will do because I'm an achievement whore ).

Thank you for the recommendations, I will definately look into them. Half Minute Hero hmmm... sounds like my sex life :p

Grimrock for $3.74 seems like a good bargain too.

(HA! now I look at the flash deals and Binding of Isaac is only $1.24 and Lamb is $0.75. This is why I have a hard time pulling the trigger. Years of being burned by bad games and shifting prices. Hotline and FTL will be $2.50 really soon methinks.)
