I'm trying to create direct url links to my killing floor 2 servers so people can join games from my server stats page at: http://murder.moosecraft.net

I've been looking through the documentation on the steam://connect command but it doesn't appear to be working correctly with KF2

I can see all my servers from the steam server browser

I can see the details of a server if I right click a server and select "view server info"

If I try to use a steam://connect url it doesn't work right.

If I attempt to join the server from inside KF2's server browser it works
If I attempt to join the server from the steam server browser, it works
If I attempt to join off a friend, it works

If I attempt to connect with steam://connect/69.140.13.109:7777
It brings up the same sever info window, but it doesn't actually read the information properly.

If I attempt to use the steam port instead of game port: steam://connect/69.140.13.109:27015
It launches KF2 but does not direct to the game server.

Is there anything I can do to fix this on my end? Is this a tripwire issue? A steam Issue? I'm more than willing to help fix this if at all possible.

Steam for KF2 need the query port for the 'connect URL', so change the port in address from game port to query port ;)

Some games need the query port, other don't, that's how it is. Now you know.

By the way the default query port is 27015 not 20715

Hey thanks for the reply, i put the wrong number in when typing up my bug report.

Using any variation of steam://connect with the RIGHT query port doesn't work either though, it launches the game but does not connect to a server.

The issue still exists using steam://connect/69.140.13.109:27015

I also found this thread from a year ago detailing the same issue:

https://forums.tripwireinteractive.c...-automatically

which you happened to also reply to, but i dont know if you actually read the response to that because you gave the same advice there, which doesn't seem to be working for that chap either.
