Stats Reset Coming

So we planned on putting this press release out as soon as we put out the update that fixed the stats. But since the achievement "In B4 Reset" found its way into to public already, I'll go ahead and post this up here now so you guys know what is coming up. You'll likely see a modified version of this press release come out in the next few days when we release the update. And this is the current plan, but things can always change, so if something changes please don't come back later and go "but you guys promised you were going to do X" We don't promise, we let you know what the current plans/ideas are, but those can always change!

I appreciate the stats resets, but I really hope you don't remove the achievements. I'll never play through the campaign on Hero again.

For a limited time all players will earn double experience in Red Orchestra 2.

This is a good way to get people back and playing the game. It should feel like its the real release now. Hopefully they have the class limits selectable by server owners shortly afterwards.

I think Ramm is underestimating how many people they lost through purely gameplay elements tho. The stats, performance and bugs are a big deal, but theres the other stuff like the underwhelming realism mode.

This reset is good news and I'm glad to hear progress has been made on the issue. But just to confirm, this "fix" is different than the one currently being tested on the beta, correct? Because stats are still broken in that patch.

This doesn't make any sense at all. Veteran soldiers were not periodically issued brand new weapons to replace old ones. I would also much rather fire a broken-in rifle in a war over a brand new one.

The Heroes look all grizzled, weathered and battle hardened. And they'll be holding shiny new rifles? Bizarre logic.

I have several legit achievements, including tough ones like the bolt action distance kill ones, and beating the campaign on Hero. Am I going to lose these, even the SP ones?

Time is something no one ever gets back. That's 30 hours I could've spent doing something else, and now it's worth nothing.

Personally, I won't be playing RO2 in the future. I'm not spending 60 total hours (30 + 30) on a silly game because TWI decided that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

It's not worth double the work just to get my original stats back. Why did I even play the game at all?

If I knew the stats were going to be reset, I wouldn'tve put 30 hours through countless bugs and crashes. I simply would've waited until everything had been fixed. But I'd been promised that my time would be put towards a future advantage, and now that's been taken away.

I'm extremely disappointed that I won't be able to enjoy my favorite game this year.
