Title says it all really. The game is still nothing but an SMG/assault rifle/semi-auto CoD spray and pray fest after this so called stats reset, so what was the point of it?

Second of all, bandages. I get shot, I have to bandage or I die within about 3 seconds. There's really no time to run to cover and then bandage, so you click bandage and then get shot again by whoever shot you the first time while you're bandaging.

What was the point of both of these things?

The bandaging system actually works pretty well, IMO. If you are fast, and get to cover, you live. Otherwise, you die.

As for the CoD spray, I have to disagree with you. First of all, this isn't a so called reset, it's an actual reset. And the game is nothing like CoD. A bolt action rifle is as usefull as an SMG, both have their up and downsides. You can't just sprint arround in the open hipshooting your SMG, as it will give you no results, no kills, and you die in a couple of seconds.

There are too many SMGs, yes. But you can't say it's anything like an arcade shooter, because it's not.

The bandaging explanation made me laugh. So after getting shot, you have 3 seconds to run to cover and apply a bandage, or die. Is nobody else completely baffled by the inclusion of such a ridiculous thing in a "realistic" game?

I don't care if you want to delude yourself about the CoD spray and pray going on in this game, that's how it is. More people have automatic or semi-automatic than have rifles, which is 100% unrealistic to the real battle of Stalingrad, and running around spraying from the hip is a completely viable and working strategy in this game, just like it was in CoD. I see people doing it all the time, it works well.

The bandage system has worked well for me on numerous occasions. Well enough in fact to avoid death and get in additional points/kills without causing a respawn. The results have impact.
Your assertion about spray and pray may relate to your exerience; mine is much different. I do neither. I hold positions on the map for the team, and exact a toll from the other side. I am using cover like it was part of my clothing. Teams that run around like mad-men get gobbled up quick. And if more people were participating in the countdown play mode, the spray and pray would virtiually cease.

The point in the stats reset was to reset the stats. Are you really stupid or something?

There are SMGs because there are Squad Leaders, Assaults, Engineers and Commanders who all have access to them. There are a lot but if you're a decent player you should be able to hold your own with a bolt-action rifle. So you obviously can't play well enough.

The point in bandages is so that you can prolong your life with quick reactions without needing pussy game mechanics like regenerating health.

Why would the SMG/semi-auto be more of a problem after the stat reset?

As for the bandaging, that's a terrible and silly idea thast should never have made it past brainstorming.

Yes, I use cover too, although for most of a map I played on as the Russians today, as soon as I spawned and began to run to where I needed to be, got 3 or 4 paces and was mowed down by Axis mg34's and assault rifles who were sat behind the Russian line pampering their K/D ratio, making no attempt to capture objectives whatsoever.

I would have played on the Axis team because I love the Kar98 bolt action rifle, but as usual there were 3 more people on the Axis team than on the Allies because the Axis assault rifle is so overpowered that everybody wants to use it and flocked to that team.

But why. What was the point? Are you stupid or something that you didn't understand I wanted to know the reason for resetting them?

I can play just fine, but when pretty much everybody has an automatic weapon, or semi-automatic, they have an immediate advantage over you. Especially the MP40 sniper submachine gun, which someone killed me with at over 200m today.

The point in bandages is so that you can prolong your life with quick reactions without needing pussy game mechanics like regenerating health.

But who came up with the "press ctrl in 3 seconds or die" thing? Why 3 seconds? Why not 4 seconds, or 5, or 10. Makes no sense. And how does a simple bandage fix a bullet wound in about 1 second which it takes to apply the bandage? This is highly unrealistic.

I beg to differ, I almost always play as a rifleman and am often in the top 10 in the game(usually top 3 if I'm awake while I play). There's a reason they put a full cover system into the game, /use it/. If you run without thinking you will die, if you're smart, take cover, lean, and zoom, you will live and rack up the kills on the sorry fools that play this like CoD.

Second of all, bandages. I get shot, I have to bandage or I die within about 3 seconds. There's really no time to run to cover and then bandage, so you click bandage and then get shot again by whoever shot you the first time while you're bandaging.

Realism of the bandages aside, they are actually quite helpful once you get used to them, despite the 3-ish second time limit(it actually depends on where you get shot). If you were playing the game the way it was designed, you would already be behind cover when you got shot, otherwise what do you expect?

As for the realism, it doesn't take long for a gaping wound to bleed enough to incapacitate you, and if you'll notice, even after bandaging the place you got hit will still be wounded, the bandage just keeps you from bleeding out.

The devs explained in full why they reset the stats. Maybe look for information before posting another ****ty thread?

They should keep the bandages but bring back getting your movement slowed down when shot, but then increase the time it takes to bleed out.

Removing bandages completely would be stupid, I found it humorous in RO1 where you got shot and lived and your walking around the battlefield with blood coming out of u leaving a trail behind.
