My specs are:

AMD X6 1090T@3,7GHz
GTX 460 1GB OC
4GB 1600MHz DDR3
Win 7 64-bit

And I can't play the game even on medium settings without paralyzing microstuttering in the station building. Before entering the building it's OK.

Tried it, still stutters. Screen stops for millisecond about 2-3 times per second, even though framerate is in the 60s. Completely unplayable.

Is your anti-virus on? (sounds like it could be trying actively scan the game files while its running)

I have this too, sometimes more sometimes less. Sometimes it seems connected to lag (obviously my anti virus is excluding all the game files etc).

If Antivirus is running in the background, it may be trying to download updates, or scan files... ever hear the old saying two objects cannot occupy the same space?

What would it hurt to turn it off, and make sure it is not the issue?

I am running a much less computer and have no stutter issue or lag (or whatever is the catchphrase of the day) but then again I play on servers that ping less than 120- I noticed that it would get a little strange about 200.

Nope, didn't even have anti-virus installed for weeks and it did this. This is by the way 100% same stuttering as most people had in America's Army 3 Pipeline map (uses UE3 engine too, and was a complex object filled multi-story building like in Station) but they fixed it in some update.

I never got microstutters on station during the beta, but I got them for the first 2 weeks after launch, the map was basically unplayable. The latest patch fixed it though.

Patch before last improved Station for me, but this last update made it worse again.... after 5 minutes the shuttering and low fps makes it unplayabe. Seems all maps get worse as the round goes on since last patch.

Nice post. My rig is similar to yours and I have experienced first hand the micro-stutter on station that you referred to in your original post, other maps such as Pavlov's house seem to develop the same prob over time while playing.

I have just had a thought that perhaps the issue lies with physx in some way. I have messed around with HOS settings at the cfg level, resulting in very little difference in performance/gaming. The only setting that cannot be disabled is the Physx (not sure if the game would allow disabling of the physics engine without ruining the game).

Anyhow if push comes to shove I might even reinstall xp and see if the prob still exists.

Will keep peeps posted on my endeavours..

Cheers Dan
