Never really used them due to them being mostly on retarted locations, but I'm guessing to simulate the weight behind them?

I find them extremely EASY to use and when in one of those rare spots where they are sited good, extremely effective.

It's a heavy gun. It takes force to move and stop it. Newton's laws and all that. Object in motion stays in motion etc.

They're situational but often really good. People don't always expect anyone to use them.

But it makes them a complete pain in the *** to aim them accurately. An LMG is way better at aiming.

Yeah I see them under utilized. I think it's a matter of a lot of people are not use to the suppression that the game uses so they feel it a waste to lay down fire if they aren't hitting something.

It would be really nice if this affected all weapons, not just HMGs, in a smaller effect of course.

I love the way the static MGs are implemented. You really get a sense of having to put your back into moving them around.
Yep. I love how the HMG feels in the game. My favorite weapon to use. If they could only put in more of that effect in the rest of the weapons, and it would be so much more immersive (and realistic - longer heavier weapons would be more stable but cumbersome to wield quickly).

The german MG is the same as the LMG the infantry carries, just mounted in a tripod. The Maxim is recoil-operated, so no delay should be there...
