Start/Stop Server

Is there a way to start and stop a server without having access to the console?

Didnt see anything in the webadmin because you would lose it if you turned it off

Are you talking about the webadmin console or the actual remote server access Lush?

Havent seen any option to start /stop in the webadmin console like there was in other games.

We normally start/stop from the ftp access if thats of any help.

Because i am the senior admin i just remote desktop onto the console and start/stop the server there

But i need a few members to be able to start/stop the server but obviously dont want to give them access to that

How do you start/stop by FTP? I know the answer is going to be simple and i am going to look like a muppet, but i just cant think of a way

Do you have a dedi server box Lush or a rented server?

You should be able to set user permissions acccess with a dedi box, a rented server will need the company to set them up I think.

Eg we have a dedi box and different members hve access to different sections depending on their admin responsibility.

If your server is set up to restart automatically you just need to type quit in the Management Console of the webadmin.

Not sure if that's what you're asking.

if your using Fire Deamon, it has a web interface, you can give other clan members access to it. The web interface will let you start and stop defined services.

If your game service is set to restart, you could also use the Web Admin and go to the Management Console and type Exit or Quit, this will stop the game service and it will autostart, kicking any players that were connected. That way, any clan members with access to the Web Admin will be able to restart the game. Dont know if I would fully trust this method though.

Sorry Lush, thought you meant the game rahter than the server.

How do you start the server, if its a vm you can give them that privelege, but not to logon to the box if thats what your trying to do. You could also use Fire Deamon or something like like, to stop or start it aa a service

If its a physical box, do you have a control panel to wake it up and shut it down? You could give them limited access to that.
