Lot of times Tank commanders dont do job of real tank commander, they also do lot of problems sometimes.

Scenario:
TANK COMMANDER fighting as assault trooper also wasting arty on wrong spots, sometimes where arty is needed right now tank commander is using arty.

I know only one thing 2 persons are not suitable to launch arty, squad leader becomes useless while tank commander leave tank and fight as assault trooper class which he is not.

Maybe we should split arty strikes between them or remove it from tank commander - I dont know but if more peoples together use same source of arty strikes it looks very horrible and dumb. Sometimes you want to spare some strike for end and some asshole which should be in tank and also command them waste it because he is hunting score only.

On foot tank commander is a valid cap zone tactic . . maps likes Leningrad its a standard clan war tactic.

If the commander arty is failing that's the person not the game that's causing it.

Also, why shouldn't a commander not be allowed to call in on top of other tanks? Tank commander will have a different overview of the battlefield, that perspective is very useful.

tank commander should be able to call arty from inside his tank.
(so he is not forced to play outside his tank as infantry)

also squadleader and tankcommander should have seperate arty strikes
to prevent that one uses the last round without the other knowing.

Again its not good as it is.

Squad leader is useless if tank commander use all of arty strikes, shouting of commands are nice feature but in general players dont respect it too much.

1. If tank commander use arty, squad leader cant use it until new barrages are available. What is this? A clicking game who press radio faster? As team we must cooperate now we are waiting near radio together who is confirmimg strike first and if you do it faster than him he will shoot you to head.
2. also it is too difficult to merge two brains into one directed arty strike. Lot of times tank commander are using arty on other side of battlefield while infantry need support on side where squad leader is.

Its not good in my opinion. Tank commander and squad leader must cooperate, not by loosing time near radio who is faster to click it ... split arty strikes between tank commander and squad leader.

1.) tank crewman of any sort should never be fighting as infantry. imo, the "tactic" of using tank commanders for extra cap power is borderline exploiting map design especially when smaller numbers are involved. tankers should tank, infantry should fight as infantry. if the map was designed for larger numbers and the real use of the tanks, then the map shouldn't be played with so few people. leningrad is a common place to see TC cap power and any tank map (ogledow, barashka, arad) are terrible in general for the "drive and bail" at capzones tactic. better map design and tanking implimentation would stop this from being an issue as to whether or not they are valid or "cheap" tactics.

2.) as for arty, currently in RO no tanks have built in radios. the only way for commanders to actually call in arty strikes is to find a radio outside of their tank, which many times would require tankers to leave their tank and move on foot to get to the radio. again, exposing the flaw of allowing/forcing tankers to easily leave their vehicles. if the tanks had radios in them, it'd make sense for commanders to spot and call in arty. i'd like to know more as to how historically accurate it is for tank commanders to spot and relay artillery coordinates. were they actually trained to do that? regardless, i agree to an extent that SL and TC jobs should not get affected by one another. either they both call in seperate arty or only one can call in arty in the first place.
