Squad Leader TK's?

Is there going to ever be a fix where the teamkills will not be counted if you are a squad leader, and morons on your team just feel the need to keep running into your artillery, no matter how many times you tell them?
It's nice that they have the "np" & "forgive" options, unfortunately that doesnt really account for multiple people running blindly into artillery and getting you banned from servers.

there are multipliers that are applied for the tk's caused by satchels or arty. If you are still kicked from the server after the same amount of teamkills that would get you kicked when doing it with a gun, the server admins just are completely clueless about configuring a server. (imo the majority out there)

There is a way to do this, but not every server does it. It's a server-side setting where an artillery kill can be set to count for only a fraction of the full "TK's required to get your butt kicked out of the server" number. :)

The problem is that not all servers use that feature, so depending on where you play, it can be a problem..

And some people just plain find it funny to get you kicked or banned, and will pile up ontop of your freshly laid satchel or arty strike like lemmings, and then laugh at your resulting kick/ban, you know the type, its the same players that will lay prone infront of your tank to get you to run them over, no amount of fore-warning will help that, infact it'll just tell them "come get me kicked now!".

The NP feature seems to add the teamkill to your count first and then take it away again if you are forgiven. So if you kill someone so you get above your limit you are kicked before he can forgive you.
I've seen someone being removed because he killed a huge bunch of players with a satchel on Kessel and he was gone before anyone could type "np".:p

If you keep your teamkill count low this shouldn't be a problem for unless you teamkill too many at once and if that happened you might have placed your arty on your teammembers (unintentionally) and it was your fault for placing it wrong rather than their's for running into it.

I played RoadToHillCombined on a 50 man server(can't remember which though :( ) yesterday on the Sovjet team and our infantry commander had taken to the hills and was hiding so our team could not benefit from his leadership and smoke grenades.
I suspect this was a case of a player with 2 PC's and games of RO who was playing on both teams and who was cheating in order to win.
The admin could not find the name of the player who played the Sovjet Commander due to his low points so he did not show on the score board and thus he could not be booted/banned.
I did try to look for his hiding place but decided it was not worth my while to continue playing on the server when one of the teams was both stacking and stat padding at the same time so I left.

Tripwire, can't you make it so the players class is shown together with the their names so it will be possible for the rest of us to see who is squad leader or other important classes so they can be kicked for being idle, treasonous or just incompetent? It is extrmely annoying and kills gaming pleasure to have an experience like the one I described above and not be able to do anything about it - If only he had not gone into hiding we could at the very least teamkilled him for his smoke grenades...

Perhaps you should just hit F1 to list classes in Red Orchestra instead .

Then he can just login in game to boot the AFK squad leader if he can't find him in webadmin.

The problem was that pressing F1 only shows the best 15 or 16 players on each side(not totally sure about the exact numbers) so if a player has very low points they don't show on the score board and since we can't scroll on the score board it is possible to remain unknown to the players with higher points and in this instance nor could the the admin find the bugger.
What I don't know, though, is if there are web admin tools that allow for listing player ID and their class at the same time???
