Hmm first you need to go to the Steam forums and ask Valve when split-screen Steam is coming.

I'm sorry, but the PC really isn't a nice platform for splitscreen. You don't usually have 2 mice or 2 keyboards at your disposal to share.

Hello, we do not all have internet or 2 pcs, I wanted to play with my brother in only pc.lo the keyboard gives to emulate it or gives to play with joysticks. I leave a video showing the splitscreen offline.
& feature = related

Oh but I do get that you might have a good reason to have splitscreen, I'm just pointing out that a PC is not built for several users behind the same machine. Thus it creates severe technical limitations.

Consoles are much better in that aspect.

Also that video doesn't work for me.

Probably should have constructed your original post a little better with this included. Not many people were even sure of what you were addressing or if you were trolling. Also this thread would be better suited in the Ideas & Suggestions forums.

Icey pain: yes, consoles are better in this aspect, but it seems to me that more than being lost in graphics will win 400% in gameplay.

I live in the countryside in uruguay and I play the playstation2 in a black-and-white TV from 12 "to 12voltios have no 220v nor high speed internet to play online. any multiplayer offline serves me.
Now if it is going to see the video

12voltios is enough for any man, and let nobody tell you different.

In general we can say that only splitscreen won't do the job. You will need splitkeyboard and splitmouse too :D

How did you imagine it would look like if two persons have to use the same mouse and same keyboard to play the game? Or do you want to use 2 controllers? The game doesn't directly support controllers. It will come to using 3rd party software to map keyboard keys and mouse buttons to the buttons on your controller. Meaning you still won't be able to play, because mapping the movement keys ASDW to the joystick on controller 1 and ASDW to the joystick on controller 2 will be the same as trying to drive a single car with 2 drivers (and 2 steering wheels). It would be possible if the game would allow you to make 2 key mapping sets (one for player 1 and one for player 2), but almost all keyboard keys in RO2 are already bound to some feature/function, leaving you with too less unbound keys for this purpose. The only solution would be that RO2 would support 2 controllers as input, but it doesn't.

look, any game can have 2 controllers, only the producers of the game do not want to work that day. your comment about splitkeyboard, but I imagine that could play with 2 keyboards.

2 mouses, 2 keyboards are easily possible as wireless or wired USB MS/KB's are cheep.

However to answer the question, as much as I also think it would be a cool idea, mostly for those who use their computers with 40in + HDTV's...

It is safe to assume that no it will not happen for Red Orchestra 2.

PS2 on a black and white TV ??? What is 12 voltios ? hopefully not 12inches ?

Whatever size, I didn't know it existed a black and white tv that takes any kind of component or digital input...

Sure you can add 2 keyboards, but Windows will not tell to RO2 from which keyboard the key-hit came from. It will just report a keypressed event with value 'W' (if W was pressed).
